About this mod

Small modification to allow casting spells while wielding 2H Melee weapons.

Permissions and credits
Spellsword? Battlemage? Like wielding two-handed weapons, but hate having to put them away to make magic happen? This simple mod might be for you.

You will wield magic in your left hand and your mighty weapon in your right, until you need to make use of it to crack some skulls.

Only works with Vanilla/DLC weapons currently. This was a simple tweak, I took some time and went through the CK and made adjustments to every two-handed melee weapon. They now have a duplicate variant craftable at the forge.
In the CK, it is set to 'Both Hands' and I changed this to 'Right Hand'.
It will not work with 'Either Hand', equipping it to the left treats the weapon as a shield, so weapons can only be used in the right hand. Still, I find this better than the default.

If you want to use [Insert Mod X Here]'s 2H Weapon in this manner, there is a screenshot with basic Creation Kit instructions. You can easily accomplish modding one weapon in 5 minutes or less, assuming you have the CK already installed. Weapons are all listed under the BOLD +Weapon tab on the side menu. It is a very minor tweak.
I recommend to make a duplicate of the weapon you want to tweak as to not interfere with proper NPC usage.

Power attacking without magic in your left hand will result in a punch. Left clicking also results in a swing.
When magic is equipped, while casting a spell (constant/charging), the weapon will swing one handed; unless you do a power attack, then it will interrupt the spell and swing with both hands.
You can also equip a shield or an off-hand weapon if you want to. (Though there may be some animation awkwardness.)

This might not look fantastic with Vanilla animations, I don't know, I don't use them anymore.

V1.2 [Vanilla] (Released) - Add crafting/tempering recipes for basic weapons. Enchanted loot varieties also complete, but only accessible through console. Caster's weapons can also be reverse crafted back to their normal counterpart. To craft the weapon, you must have the normal weapon already, which makes some sense since you're just switching hands. (Why you need a forge to switch hands...? Hopefully I can come up with a better alternative later.)

V1.1 [Vanilla] (Old) - Creates duplicates of Vanilla 2H melee weapons to be used this way, so as not to interfere with NPC use. (Non-Replacer) No crafting recipes, only basic weapons (no enchanted variants) must acquire with console. Type HELP "Caster's" for relevant IDs. Then type player.additem ID 1
