Well spotted Salty, I used the Preset you mentioned to create this character, however, when you compare the default preset to my character there are a lot of minor differences, A LOT of them. I narrowed the jaw and cheekbones, raised the eyes and mouth (as well as the cheekbones), chiseled the chin to fin the facial profile, and of course changed the shapes of the nose, mouth, eyes and brow. Are the individual differences huge? Of course not, but when you add them together you get a character that looks familiar to the default preset, but all together different. It's like comparing the appearances of a Father and a Son, of course there's going to be similarities. I even provided a picture of the preset used so you can compare the two side-by-side.
My goal was not to make a Chuck Norris Billy-Bad-Ass or an Orlando Blood Ricko-Suave type guy; I wanted to make a character that looked like he belonged in the world and could be used as a Thief, Warrior or Mage. At the least I hope at least a few people use this as a base for their own character and adjust him to their liking.
@ kclimer13 & Handski Why post this? I posted it because some people want to be able to hop right into the game without having to spend an hour making a decent looking character. That's why. Use your brain for two seconds so I don't have to post the obvious. When I first got Skyrim, I would have loved to be able to download a normal looking character (the presets scare me), and jump right into the game.
You're either new to the Nexus or understand nothing about the modding community. The majority of people I've talked to who post comments or files are just people who want to share their creations and thoughts about the game with others. So, did I want to share my character? Yes. Would it be cool to see it be downloaded? Yeah, of course it would be, you're a liar if you say it wouldn't be cool to see something you made appreciated.
And OBVIOUSLY people want SaveFiles because there's a select category for them specifically, and OBVIOUSLY people don't hate them because they're downloaded frequently, in fact I made a very similar character for New Vegas (even using the same name, I think) and it was very well received. So please, stifle your juvenile angst, it doesn't impress anyone, it just make you look like douche-bags and shows everyone how young you are.
And yes Handski, I do ALWAYS play a Male Character (obviously I didn't in Diablo 2 because only chicks could be Archers), but other than that, I'm married, I don't need to make a female character to see a fake pair of tits and a fake ass in a chainmail bikini while I'm playing 24/7. Whether or not you admit it, that is exactly why a man plays a female character, so they can stare at tits. Does it bug me? Nope, it's not my character, so I don't care; my comment was simply an attempt at humor. So, if I may so again in a different way, grow up.
"secure enough to play a male" what does that even mean? So.. i take it that you are a dude who only plays female characters and you assume playing a male means.. what exactly? lol
All these people who upload saves... why?? pointless waste of this sites servers. there are so many people who just upload saves just to show... character creation or naming skills? what? jesus....
Why would anyone want to download this? I have been a modder since Morrowind. And adding your saved game is probably new and useless to the modding community. What would anyone want to do with this?
