I just wanted to say thanks so much for this mod! I'm a Skyrim newbie (well, I've played nearly 240 hours, but only in the last 3 weeks, and I've almost entirely avoided the main questline so far). XD
I instantly HATED the look of the original lute - such an obnoxious, loud red and gold. Even though bards annoy the crap out of me when they open their mouths, I love to hear the instrumentals, and now I can add a lute to my kids' room as decoration (and pretend they can play with it, heh). THANK YOU!
Hmm. I find these less fitting than the original red color. But, I've never had a problem with it so. Anyways, good job; I'm sure plenty of others feel the same way.

A new version 2.0 is up, introducing three different flavors: - Flavor One is a recolor only. - Flavor Two is brighter and contains some retextured elements. - Flavor Three consists of more retextured elements than Flavor Two. The aim is to achieve a well-used look.
The overall quality is not grand like with the previous version - my skills are quite limited unfortunately.
I hope some people might find the provided (and partially requested) options enjoyable enough until someone more talented takes a decent shot at this fine musical instrument!
i really like this and i usually hate recolors great job. Could you do one where it looks like the paint is faded and chipping? i would love to see that.
@Ali Bengali, Could you do another version that's between the two? The vanilla was too saturated with color but your version though better than vanilla, is a bit too dark.

Do you think maybe you could make an AV (Automatic Variants) package for it?
