Does Blacksmith Upgrading these weapons mess them up? I thought the description only stated that enchanting these might mess them up. I blacksmith upgraded them and sometimes they fire automatic sometimes the only single shot, I am kind of confused.
I'm (trying!) to use this for Skyrim SE. I ran it through CK; but in the game, none of the crossbows have any textures. I noticed that no textures come with the mod. Other than having no visible texture, the mod still works great though! Do I need to download the textures from another mod?
At the end of the description there is the hint that he build his mod on DJjojo's Crossbows Basic Collection. (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23876)
First, thanks for the mod. This is exactly what I was looking for. I know you might be not be modding anymore but could you make a video on how to apply these scripts for someone that wants to create their own crossbow. You didn't give any instructions on how to use the scripts in the creation kit and I know alot of people would like to visually see the scripts are applied.
I always thought weapons like this should exist in Skyrim. In our own history, China invented the repeating crossbow in the 4th century BCE. For me, Skyrim's crossbows have always been painfully slow, so I never used them. With Requiem, which makes crossbows widespread and includes one of each material type, I get a lot more use out of them because they have longer range, more power, and are easier to aim than bows. Again though, the reload time takes forever.
That said, I would use this mod, but I can't think of any way to make it balanced within Requiem. These would be too overpowered, unless I could use ASIS to distribute them to all human enemies. After all, NPCs should be able to use all the same spells and equipment as the player. Does anyone know if that works with this mod?
I'm almost positive the AI would only fire it like a normal crossbow, that they aren't capable of triggering the automatic fire, don't quote me on this though.
Sorry for flooding, but for any reason, seems like I cannot edit my previous post. So, I just added 2 ebony crossbows with the console, and yes, I have an "automatic" ebony crossbow with one of the code, but with no mention of it being "automatic", so, it works. Thanks again!
Thank you for this mod. Little question though, before endorsing and all. I already have Crossbows Basic Collection and Automatic Dwemer Crossbow installed. Can I install those mods with them, or do I need to remove them before using your mod? It's not very clear to me.
I installed all 3 mods for the moment, and the only difference I have found, is that I have 2 of each crossbow in my smithing menu, but none of the 2 has the "automatic" word added to it. When I'm trying to get your automatic crossbows variant with the console, I also have 2 references of each kind, exemple, if I type help "elven crossbow", I have 2 different ID codes linked to an "elven crossbow", with, one more time, no idea which one should be the automatic one or not... That's why I'm asking you if your mod is compatible with its parents mods finally. ^^
I hope you'll see my post, and will be able to answer me.
