But this is not the bloodelfen race of Bella, but an ugly male race.

    It isn't really unique.
Try changing the form of the face a bit.

Hey great mod, I only have one small problem. In windhelm the guy named Cynn now has a blood elf body but a dark elf head.. looks really weird xD...
Haven't checked if other dark elves have the same problem.
Any way you could fix these problems?(I'd rather not remove the mod because i like it so much)

That shouldn't happen, You're the only person who has told me about this. His head is red in mine and my friends game. I think it could be another mod conflicting maybe?

Love the skin tone, not a modder and am all thumbs, would love to see this as a Female follower or two...different hairstyles...sweet!

Great work, hearfelt thanks for new exciting skin tones....so few do it....too many Nord women men, Nord elves...come on people who mod, remember Morrowind.....diversity and skin color is cool!

There is a male follower if you follow the right quest line. I will see about putting a female or two in as well, I may even make them marriable.

Awesome race, simple, and balanced, I just think it needs something, like a racial ability change, invisibility is so mainstream, how about making a passive power e.g. +25% silenced armor, or a passive of better prices, or if you can, a power of distracting, like that shout that makes a distracting noise.

I changed the racial ability to distraction. Brilliant idea :-)

Now all we need is the Blood Elves from World of Warcraft, instead of a bunch of red skinned dark elves...

I'd never created a mod before in my life, but following the pic by pic instructions of this mod <http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10165/?> I was able to create a Dawnguard-compatible race. If you're as green as I am, you'll want to go to page 2 of his comments (look for a post by Dragonsoul44 or something like that) which details the step-by-step process for attaching the quest script to the custom race.

I tried following the instructions he gave but it won't let me load up the compatibility mod with my Blood Elf mod so I can't edit it using the proxys he gives you :-(

You mentioned a problem with vampire aspects... What problems are you having? If you need, drop me a message, and I will see what I can do to help you out. (*shrugs*)

You just can't become a vampire. You can get the disease but you never change. I just can't figure it out.

Yes... That is an issue that I had LONG ago... There is no way I found to force that at character select. (It doesn't do the higher functions required for such.) It's Beth crud. (My name for it, and a lot of other strange things they did...)

You have to have a base race. That allows it to have a possibility for reversion if you choose to heal the vampire state. (Their rules). If you start as a vamp, then it doesn't have that option, and the game glitches since you can't get vampirism cured, and ... become... a... vampire... (How DOES that one happen again? Sounds to me like you would classify that as a fail.)
That also works into the werewolf stuff to, so it's annoying, but ... well... there.

What I had to do was start something else early on that would allow you to get the disease, and then become vampiric normally. (my Vampire Stones mod)... When it triggered, it did a lot of crud behind the scenes, and there was no way to trigger it at character select. When it didn't trigger normally, like it should otherwise, it had issues, including feeding problems, and other BS... It simply doesn't allow that level of command triggering at the character select. (*shrugs*)

      What I recommend :
      1) Just have the base race at character select.

      2) Check out my child character mod as a template. (from the Higher Magic line of mods.)
      - Why? Because I have made it so that other child characters can become vampires, not just the Breton child like babbete. (There are new races added, and changes in the scripts that are needed. You can check out my mod and see which scripts are involved, and how I did the editing there, and use that as a template for your new mod and race.)

      3) Modify them to go from there with your mod.

      ===

Note : It's not that big a problem, all things considered, but if they use other mods that change the scripts, then they may overwrite your mod's scripts. That is, simply put, a conflict that is problematic.

If you follow the mods I did, you can find the solution for both vampire and werewolf stuff on that line.

I used the idea of "If the game does it on it's own, let it cover it. That way, I don't have to rebuild the wheel, just widen the dirt path on the side for it to travel on. If the wheel wants to go there, it can. If it doesn't, then it doesn't have to."

If you get the disease, you have to wait 3 days, not get cured, and sleep before you get it.

I know... Probably not the answer you want... Not the answer I wanted when I did vampire stones... but .... (*shrugs*) Beth got weak at that point, so you gotta play by their rules on that one.

(I had thought about a spell to force the changes to take place, but could never get it to work right. Seemed to be locked on the sleep trigger, and I couldn't find a way to work around that one. (*shrugs*) )

      Hope that helps.

Let me just correct a typo you got in one of your screenshots.
    "due to THEIR assassination skills."
"There" = "There used to be a snail here" or "There's a troll running around in my backyard"
"Their" = "Their horns are long and thick" or "Their armor is made out of the strongest steel existing in Skyrim"

^This. You'd be surprised how many Skyrim players will refuse to use a mod due to grammatical or otherwise writing mistakes.

      And a more detailed critique:

"Also known as "(Rathmer or Rothmer; whatever that says)", blood elves are feared by (no need for "the") other mer due to their (not "there") skills in the art of assassination (not "assassination skills"; "assassination" is not proper as an adverb). They are typically raised from childhood to be assassins (again, "assassin arts" is not proper), (comma before complete clause) and some believe they founded the Dark Brotherhood."

Not trying to be an a$$; just trying to help.

seems rather petty to not use a mod over something so trivial as a grammatical errors.. perhaps the author's native isn't English. Personally if people don't want to use a mod due to something so insignificant as a Grammar error then it's their loss.
