I'm not sure if this post will break any of the posting rules for the site, but I'll see what happens

how hard-core do you want to go,because Lovers Labs have some really weird mods.

I better start by saying that lovers labs is nsfw, not safe for the under 18's (and a number of the over 18's as well)

they've got a mod called "slave run", one called "egg factory" and an alternative start add-on mod.

"slave run" introduces slavery into skyrim (one of many slavery mods, I should point out). basically the jarl of whiterun in order to of-set the cost of the war (and get some money in the coffers) has introduced slavery, one of the new rules is women aren't allowed to wear clothes

"egg factory" introduces "strange eggs", each egg is cursed, who ever picks one up is cursed to lay eggs, until they get rid of the egg

The alternative start add-on mod, as the name suggests is an alternative start mod, it has some more starts (based on installed mods). I was working my way through them and started one of the egg starts,

Description: A reaver by trade, you've run afoul of some of Solstheim's more vicious wildlife. Left for dead, you were found by a group of Cultists. Now you're trapped in some underground temple with no way out, and worst of all, you've been impregnated with some sort of giant egg!

escaping was easy, getting punished for wearing clothes halfway up one of Solstheim's mountains wasn't (I thought I turned that of) and neither was dying of hypothermia, when I took my clothes of to stop the punishments (I forgot I that running).

I posted this as a reply to a question about making skyrim more difficulty..hope you guys enjoy:

This is my experience on how I transformed skyrim into a truly hardcore game. For the first time since its release, thanks to these mods, Skyrims become something worth considering a serious challenge. First things first though you should consider getting the Creation Kit.

This I have only used to tweak tiny global settings of a few mods, in order to auto enable them with my settings across all saves. Ill post exactly what I did later.

The mods I use have turned skyrim into a Roguelike with decent combat mechanics and hardcore realism. As a disclaimer, it is NOT for the casual gamer, its just the way Ive put new life into the game for me. All of these mods are obtainable from Nexus. Also these mods are all lore friendly and have proven stable (I havent had any compatibility or script heavy related issues.)

Frostfall obviously (Hardcore turns WEAR on and disable fasttravel, I keep the Allow wait outside feature on because I feel thats my decision and realistic)
Realistic Needs and Diseases (enable the cool features in bottom mcm menu and disable spells for it)
    Hunterborn (Still testing to auto-enable)
Cloaks of Skyrim (looks badass and keeps you warm)

Deadly Combat (turn ignore pain spell off)
    Duel - Combat Realism
Combat Multiplier (Id like criticism on these used together)
Battle Fatigue and Injuries (Getting hit hurts)
    Enhanced Blood Textures
Better Stronger and More Effective - Poisons and Diseases
Deadly Traps and Sickly Diseases (Both these and RND make traps deadly and diseases actually make your day)
ExBandages (for Battle Fatigue and Injuries)
Poseidons Inns and Taverns - Realistic Room Rental Basic
Scarcity (Makes you apreciate money and loot, as well as vendors having less)
Immersive Patrols (just for fun - adds skirmishes and random patrols which add to immersion - civil war goin on ya know)

Finally, the bread and butter of this playstyle:
Random Aternative Start (choose a randomish kit and get popped somewhere random around skyrim to begin your adventure)
Character Creation Overhaul (Morrowind n Obliv style, makes strengths and weaknesses apparent - less likely one character being a magewarriorthiefassassinmonkpaladindemonslayer)
Death Alternative (for a more realistic second chance in case of glitches as well as added realism and randomness to the your adventure. I turn player essential off...then Thugs for example have a random chance to beat the living s#@$ out of you rather than killing you outright although possible.)
and Dead is Dead. (Which prevents loading character save games and makes a pretty basic but badass record of your adventure. In my case I use the file generated to record extra info for a more in depth history of each decent character that lives past level 1)

The nature of playing this way and the imminent death of a multitude of characters due to Dead is Dead and the difficulty level is what led me to have to edit the global files of at least the top 3 mods as they no longer natively support auto enabling and saving presets across new characters, which I HAD to edit in order to play the game or you spend a good 10 minutes messing with the MCM settings in SkyUI to die a minute and a half later raiding a camp for supplies.

Which finally leads me to the super important platform mods to add to this list:

    SkyUI
    SKSE latest stable version
    SkyTweak
File Access Interface for Skyrim Script

I hope its not a game breaker for you but I dragonborn and dawnguard are most likely required.

Now the tweaking of the settings is up to you and I am still testing the possibility of conflicts between the Combat mods as they may be doing the same thing. But Ill post more on this soon.

I set autosaving off and use a single save per char and set skyrim native difficulty to expert (or on master or legendary you may kill a giant at level one with a well placed arrow betwixt the eyes..which is stupid buuut at the same time a skeever biting you in the throat could put you down too if you dont block..thats why I need some assistance with my combat mod setup..so far tho expert is really hard as well as balanced..one or two well placed shots for humanoids works both ways..just try not to miss time a block or attack

These mods are all amazing and make a severly hardcore short(ish) and memorable adventure with massive flexibility of every character, if you have the minerals to explore a dungeon.

All the best..if you guys like this post or dont, please aim towards constructive criticism..but seriously just give it a go first.

If you like what ive done with what these geniuses on the Nexus have done, please support them.

Awsome list of mods, I have installed them all and finding it a lot more interesting now. This combination actually reminds me a lot of the 'Wanderer Edition' mod for Fallout 3, which is exactly what I have been looking for with Skyrim, so thanks!

I would like it if you could explain a bit more about the 'global tweaks' you have done, as like you said, its rather painful to have to activate Frostfall, Hunterborn etc, after every new character starts. I have SkyTweak but Im not sure if that is the right program to do this?

Here you go some perfect mods i discovered just recently, now i only need to use my player death rules i made for myself

    >> Duke Patricks Heavy combat and archery [fundamental gameplay changer]

    >> Scarcity [reduce no's of all items in world]

    >> You Hunger [reduce all food in world - this coupled with iNeed is a hoot xd]

    >> Kuertee Gold Adjustment [reduce all gold in world]

    >> Morowloot [removes high lvl items from level lists, and places them in unique locations]

    >> Fire of Vigor [disables health regen - only fire sources give you health]

    >> Traps make noise and are dangerous [nice increase on trap damage]

These are what i'm using now for my core mechanics to work, lol i'm really needing to use Hunterborn now, so i can actually find a way to get some food. No gold to buy food, and not much food in barrels or inns just lying around.

Fire of Vigor will make finding villages and such a very special treat indeed, i hope these help.

Forget self imposed sleeping only in towns, I used to use a mod that I had to uninstall when I installed Frostfall. As I deemed that it would be a little too much for me... What with fighting hypothermia, lack of sleep, not enough food. Then this mod was going to give me random encounter while I slept, that could be pre-set in the MCM menu.

I Chickened out and uninstalled it before I installed Imps more complex needs and Frostfall...

Sands of Time Sleeping Encounters Standalone Module by the SOT gang

When you wake up with blurry vision and 3 vampires attacking you whilst out in the middle of nowhere, up North in the frozen regions. Then run for your life, and hope you don't run into a lake and freeze to death...

The console commands don't seem to be working. It says that it's an unknown variable. Any ideas? Also, does anyone know the console command to allow you to heal from waiting. Thanks. Great mods

something that I found annoying is hit 12751273 times a human guy with no armor just because he/she is level 50, 1 sword hit with no armor = 1 kill whatever level you or npc
