This armor is open for edits now. I no longer have a system that can work texture edits so I guess that that qualifies the armor as a modders resource.
NON Esp so NO you don't have to do a clean save or a new game or anything. Load a game, use console codes if you don't have Dbone armor already and if you don't like then just remove it.
Many thx out to Natrix, Micro, Hoth and the rest of you for the support and pics. I added m Dwarven Female and Elven Female pics here while I could get the fried laptop up for a file transfer.
It's ok. I'm a great grandaddy supporting 8 grandchildren on less than 1000 a month now thx to Obama AND no more medical coverage on anybody even tho their respective parents are deceased US military. The country has gone to crap. Just wait till tax time and you see how much they're gonna get out of you.
I've just taken my meds so I'll be out for the next 12 hours. Many thanks for the pics. If you couldn't tell, just to PLAY the game I have to have all shadows off, all fog off and anything else that makes things just surreal and lifelike have to be off. It was still playable though. ha ha.
man it's really a shame beacause this retex has potential and i loved the Shield but hope you get better computer in the future so you can perfect your work although i am not going to use this i my playthrough i will keep an eye on it and Best of Luck!
Variant 2 was the matching set. I switched between the 2 sets depending on area since the only multi armor mod we have is one for the nightingale armor. Remember. If it shows up "glossy" on your screen try going to the data\textures\armor\dragonbone and delete the _n files.
Also, Try out the Dwarven MALE version of armor. It's a completely different mesh and armor based on another set.
Thx Natrix. It's just a texture replacer. Small at that. Try it, Don't like it then uninstall it. If you like it PLEASE put some clear bright pics up. The old laptop couldn't do shadows, blurs, enb or anything highly graphic wise.
Thank you so very much Hoth. Oh and everyone.. meet Hothtrooper. One of the BEST of the modders around. If you see HIS name on ANYTHING you can bet it'll be awesome when it's finished.
P.S. Thx for leaving off the 67. I just use my great great grandsons accounts for everything. I'm Thorne SR.
Oh wow. It doesn't look bad on there. many many thanks to you !! As for an update...sadly this being my first attempt EVER at trying this...from the very first TES game at that...i cooked my laptop in the work of it. I should have just stayed with writing "how to" guides for modders n newbies.
I was never able to get the "original" gauntlets and boots that matched the armor to work. From the wrist up to the elbow worked fine but from the wrist down was invisible in 3rd person and 1st person. Same with the boots. The ones that I have ON there now were my base and I edited on top.
So. I give my full permissions for ANYONE to work on a fix. Rofl. Now I have to save up to buy parts for this crappy HP NC8000 laptop.
I could barely keep the game running to that point to take any decent screenshots. I apologize. That's why I'm requesting community screenshots. If you'd read my comment of exactly WHAT I have to play Skyrim on you'll understand just WHY I can't mod or make any decent mods. At least I'm trying.
Currently I think the "shininess" is gone and it looks like a normal armorset but since I cooked the GPU on the laptop I can't even take screenshots now.
I know I know but I dunno how to fix it. I gave full permissions to amidianborn's Cabal to help me. Still...better than what I WAS using. The highest this laptop will do is 512 without shutting down. 64k shared video card so I REALLY don't know what anything looks like on current day machines. When "I" play skyrim it looks almost like an older zelda graphics game. I have to port every texture down to a maximum of 128k.
And yes...it's one REALLY crappy computer but it's all i have. Plays (barely) skyrim, torchlight, killing floor, counterstrike 1.6 and source.
Storage i have no problems with. I NOW have 60TBs of drive space whenever I need it. (not mine of course)
Comments are welcomed. If ANYONE wants to fix and re-upload under their own name and send me a link for the fixed armor I'd appreciate it. I don't want any credits. Never do. Just wanted a better looking armor.
Heh. Ran it on high for a minute before it shut down on me. Well... not ALL of it looks like plastic. Rofl. Just oh...99 percent?

Also, lame humor.
