Haven't been around much lately, sorry to any questions I missed.

I just updated the description to include a link, but wanted to post it here too.

**Please note that evenstargw has created a mod that is far superior. I recommend using it instead of this mod.**

it seems to unequip the wig as soon as i enterd combat while dual wielding dagger, not sure if its due to weapon combo or that i have all item slots filled (except 1 for wig) not sure if its cos ive bugged it but :/

EDIT: Also equiped it while wepons are out and it removed it on sheathing... bah, well least they look sweet with 2 hand wep and zweihand animation

also last test i used dual wield with no armour but the helm and it still unequips on re sheathing weapons. Can someone reconfirm this so i can tell if its clashing with another mod thanks! <3

I know this is super old... but you may have a mod enabled, or something in your configuration settings, that tells the game to unequip/hide helmets during combat. I know that has been an option somewhere, I think UFO. So I'm assuming it's also available elsewhere.

Hope this helps someone in the future narrow it down. I haven't used this mod yet... Just looking for a way to make characters not completely bald when wearing helmets.

Dupre232, I don't know if you are still monitoring this thread. However, on the off-chance - regarding your tutorial, when I get to the part (on the third image) about changing the color... I entered manual values, but see no change in the view screen. I have saved-as and reloaded, same colors as the textures.

"My wigs provide a quick and easy way to ...pass them out to NPCs"
-how is this done? do you have to turn them into a follower with something like AFT?

The tutorial is fantastic, thanks - I can now make my own wigs and craft them and as there are a number of different hair mods out there - a nice selection would be great.

However I'm having a little problem with colours and textures. The hairs seem to be a little bland and in some cases sparse. It has to be the textures I think. I've followed the instructions to the latter and pointed to the Apachii blonde dds's and I have working wigs but I can't seem to get the colours right.

Anyway a little pointer in the right direction would be helpful. Thanks.

I like the hair styles in this mod better than the one you recommended. The only flaw that I see so far is that when I am in my house in Solitude, when I put my cross hairs on the person equipped, the hair changes color from brunette to blonde, but I haven't noticed that happening anywhere else yet.

I was kind of thinking that the wigs would have an armor rating, but they all say 0. It would be great if they had a rating of 25 or more.

Thanks for the mod, which I decided to install because some of my followers have pulled back hair which shows a very bad non-realistic roots.

    Endorsed.

Hi, thanks a lot for the guide! Sadly I don't really like Apachii's hairstyles, so I tried to make vanilla-hair wigs, but for some reason it won't let me paste the hairline into the other nif file. Do you, or anyone else know how to fix this? The error just says "failed to map parent link NiNode|Hairline.nif". I could achieve almost everything with NifSkope so far (editing/combining meshes) and never had such an error appear. Would really appreciate some help

PS: I'm still kind of shocked no one ever thought of making wigs for vanilla hairstyles, I really like a lot of them :/

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm just retarded. Found the solution
I'll leave this here in case someone is interested: The solution is to simply rename the very parent NiNode from HairlineXX.nif to HairXX.nif (with XX being the number of the hairstyle) before copying and pasting the NiTriShape Branch.

Hi, just added the mod alongside Apachii sky hair, I load the spell but for some reason my character prepares for combat without a spell, which means I can't get to the anvil, should the mod be high up in the load order? Maybe its something I'm doing wrong
