I was thinking collision too, but I know nothing about that stuff. Tried testing out different stairs from that same group and they all had the same issue.

It's a minor thing really, but I'd love to fix it. Thanks for your post.

I have had similar with a mod I did... I fixed my custom stairs by spreading it out a bit more so the collision didn't have as many issues.

Note, they do have stairs you can make into custom stairs. They come in several step varieties. Sometimes it can be a bit of a catch to find the proper slope for placement, but it's possible. You can see my work with this (and some of the creative versions I used for the stairs in my mod here. Look up my mod for the Riverwood Hideaway if you want to view it. There is an annoying stairway that is outside (I had it go over the side rail of the porch, and then back down for access.) .. The other that was annoying was placement in the garden area (First incarnation was a wood ramp that would work into the area. I chose to ditch that later on though due to graphic issues with dirt. ) Basically, the more I spread it out, the less probs I had with Casper and his friends. The nice thing about those options was that there is also options for log graphics, which you can effectively "Fix" the stairs to, and craft your own staircase. The spread between them is a bit odd at times though. The focus on hitches was on where one set of steps ended, and another would start (world objects / Static / Walkway Stairs ) (You got a variety to choose from)

To me, it looked like if I was too close, it would push me back, so I would be in the right spot to be able to step up.

      Hope that will help.

Thing is I really like these particular stairs and their a\positioning so I'd prefer not to change them. I might look into it further another time, but overall it is a minor thing.

I appreciate you offering a possible solution though and who knows, I might try it out later.
