Actually, you have several wardrobes there in the vanilla game, and wardrobes never reset wherever they may be. So, the only way you can lose something is if you stored it in a barrel (which is what this mod changes, right?).
In my experience, the following containers are always safe:
Dressers, Wardrobes, Cupboards, End Tables. I understand that Coffins, Pots, and Strong Boxes
I suspect you're correct about those container types being safe. It's just that it's not terribly intuitive that "you can safely use any containers in your room…except the barrels."
