the latest file (the one with the directory structure) works fine in NMM.. Enabling the NMM button for the download will work fine, otherwise ppl can download the file manually and then add it to NMM manually
The nif files included in the archive were not intended to be placed directly in the data folder. It is just a ressource for whoever wants to create double sided banner. This is the reason why they are not splitted in some Skyrim Data folder structure, but also why there was no explanation on where they can go. (Otherwise, I would have delivered it that way).
The models were created for my own mod, and the goal was just to share this models (the names and textures were simply modified to better fit Skyrim). But it is true that placed in the appropriate Skyrim's folders, it will work!
By the way, a new archive has been uploaded with the files sorted within a Data folder.
Considering the NWM: sorry, I never used it so far... (I am on old school oblivion modder)... maybe, one day, I will...
for those who haven't figured it out, the files go in data\meshes\clutter, the generic banner meshes go in \banners and the mythic dawn go in \mythicdawn
I thought long and hard about downloading this and using the loose files but decided instead to do the right thing for the good of all...
I request you to go write up a bug report on the Unofficial Skyrim Patch and submit these files.This way some 12,000 people can get these fixes.
