    Hi AvelonHellfyre,

simply must use this for my RLO Skyrim, because (A)I hate torch. (B)I hate the vanilla hovering ball of light. (C)Already tried bunch of "subtle" candlelight mods. (D)currently not a vampire. However... poor Farengar, he already sold so many spells in my Skyrim. As you said earlier about "reducing clutter", may I ask... maybe I could have just one spell in my game, or you have other plan for this? I'm still testing the spells right now in darkfall cave (where usually light/torch mods get weird visual).. I haven't try the red yet

    Thank you, endorsed

Actually, yeah. One of my next plans is to rebuild the ESP and include just one spell that can change colors. I know it can be set up in some fashion so that you have RGB sliders to finesse your own color...but I don't know how, yet.

      Thank you for the endorsement!

In the meantime, I can try to make the spells show up a little more randomly instead of in the generic vendor lists.

Visual effects have been toned down for first person users, spells are added organically to the world (just in case you have a mod for the mine I used to use), and I laid the framework for enchanted items using the lights added by the mod.

In fact, if you want to use the console, you can get the (silver necklace) with the enchantment effect already on it. It's limited to Toxic Green right now, but you CAN learn it and re-enchant it on your own items!

Next update is going to flesh out the enchantment items and then I'm going to investigate the ability to choose whether or not the items continue to show up in the world (for instance, you already have all of the spells that you want and all of the magic effects that you want, so turn off the spawning of ILUST items in the world).

Very well done mod, it helps A LOT when exploring dungeons
I have a lot of lighting improvement mods and interior cells are
super dark because of such, but with this mod exploring is more
    tolerable now.
    Thanks!

Should be. I may include enchantments in an update. I've been away from gaming and modding for a good long while so I apologise for this late reply.

Hey, great mod, perfect job !
I'm not sur it's possible but could you make a mod using this effect as replacer of the vampire sight effect for those using ENB that turn nightvision off ? Sure it won't be a real NV, sure we will be a lot more easy to detect, but at least it would give ENB user the ability to see in the dark for real and using the Dynamic Vampire Apperence with your mod could explain the stealth "debuff".
I guess you'll become a hero for a lot of people.

Well, I suppose I could probably make a minimod version that makes some vampire-specific spells.

I say minimod because you'd really just want red, maybe toxic, maybe amber only - and you'd want the area of effect to be quite large, so that it creates a lit up field all around you.

great mod, specially amber color, but could you do a versiĆ³n with no visual effects for us first person players?, its kinda tiresome to keep looking through the violet revolving mist. ty

I went away from Skyrim and modding for a good long while, sorry... I am considering making an updated version to remove visual effects from the spells. I actually didn't know about the first person effects until I reinstalled - without a first person camera mod that let me see my body when I looked down.

I also previously promised to update the way the spells are introduced into the environment... Time to relearn a bit.

    Remove Visual effects please.
And needs to illuminate character as well (like the candlelight spell) kinda annoying to run around as a dark shadow...

Hmm-mm. Well, I don't enjoy the first person visual effect. I think last time I played I was using a first person perspective mod that let me look down and see my body, so I actually saw the third person version of the VE.

I'm considering updating the mod, though I'm going to have to re-learn modding essentially.

I like the effect at the feet of the player, and the choice of colors.

A few issues have popped up though that have prevented me from using this mod:

I bought all the spells, then tried all the colors. Once I cast amber, the only other color I could get to work was green - and, only by casting the amber spell. In other words, cast amber once, amber light - cast amber again, green light. No other colors worked once this behavior began. Going back to another savegame doesn't fix the problem, nor does reinstalling the mod.

    Any ideas?

Sorry for a very late reply. I've been away from Skyrim and modding for a good long while.

Interesting problem. The only thing I can think of is that you toggled multiple spells on in a row to change the light color but then didn't toggle them off. Each light you turn on needs to be turned off separately - but if you already knew that and already tried that, I can't reproduce this error.

I just got back and had to re-download my own mod, by the way - I'm using the latest version and so far haven't found anything broken. Except I don't like the first person visual effect as much as I used to, so I might be making an update soon. I definitely want to squash the bug first though if there is one.

It shouldn't be mod conflicts in any case, since the mod is entirely self-contained (unless you mod Darkwater Mine, and even still it shouldn't mess with the spells' effects).

If you're still playing, and still interested in using my mod, would you be so kind as to give it another try and tell me how to break it like you did?

      Thanks!

Version 0.3 is here! 14 colors including all of those requested below. =) I updated the changelog and description for those who want particulars. Thanks to everyone who tested and gave feedback!

I'm not done with this mod - more colors will be added, variants with different magnitudes will be added, and the spell will (eventually) get dynamically injected into leveled lists so you can find it at regular vendors and as loot, rather than from the hack in Guldenrock Mine who thinks he's something special just because he made the spells in a cave...with a box of scraps.

But for right now? I'm gonna go PLAY Skyrim!

Thank you for adding more colors, I am having trouble figuring out how to change the colors though. I got all the spells from the guy in the mine, but when I look in my magic spells there is only the original spell that I got before the update.

Hmm... Well, it's always a good idea to do a clean install (disable the mod, load a game, save the game, exit and then install the new version) when updating a mod. In this case there may have been some issues caused by me rebuilding the ESP. However, I can't think of any reason they shouldn't have been added to your spell list!

This might sound like a stupid question, but I've done this too many times to assume no one else has...did you read the spell tomes after purchasing them?
