LupusVir, look at the link and you'll see it is formatted kinda funny. Usable as a copy/paste/edit method.

I don't have the Netch Jelly - "stuck in 3rd person bug" by the way.
I tried to confirm by spawning a Netch Jelly and eat it, but I'm a vampire with 100% resistance to poison and disease, so I'm not 100% sure, but this mod seems to do what it does, and it does it well. Great fun to paralyze targets who try to run away.

OK, so I tried doing the Alik'r quest with the woman from Whiterun, and when Kematu uses his spell, it causes her to not fall down, and when I get payed by Kematu, she starts attacking me. I opened up TES5Edit and found out what changes paralysis etc to be sure it wasn't another mod, so I tested it out by disabling this mod and sure enough the quest continued on without problems, she fell down and I was able to be on my merry way without being attacked by her. The way it happened was that she was hit by Kematu and was cloaked in green because of the spells effect but she was just standing there and after payment attacking me. Nothing minor as you can just kill her but for roleplay reason and Kematu reactions I wished to do the quest without killing her. Just putting this out there if anyone has the same issue, or someone comes searching from Google. Simply disable the plugin, reload save and after finishing the quest, re-enable.

I was using the main file BTW.

I haven't had the issue of the woman failing to be paralyzed by Kematu, but I have had an issue where after completing the quest, I'm considered to be in combat with her even though she's paralyzed and unable to do anything, so I can't fast travel until I move away from her. Didn't occur to me that it might be this mod's fault. I suppose you're getting a different result than me because of something else that's different in our load orders. Maybe another plugin affecting Kematu's paralysis spell effect?

Could be the case. Not 100% sure. I did check in TES5Edit and didn't find anything there. I disabled mods one by one that could perhaps affect paralyze thingy, and seemed to work once I disabled plugin from this mod. It could be a coincidence though, Skyrim can be very weird.

Kematu uses a unique Paralysis spell. I haven't tested this, but removing* 0009DD4E (MS08ParalysisFFAimed "MS08Paralyze") with TES5Edit should in theory prevent the bug with that quest.

      * In the left-hand pane, expand this mod, expand Magic Effect, right click on 0009DD4E and choose remove, then close and save

So even though this mod's main file plugin only affects the poison paralysis, apparently the script messes with others. I found a bug that only occurs with this plugin installed affecting the paralysis enchantment: if a slo-mo kill move is used on an enemy and on that same attack a weapon's paralysis enchantment procs, then instead of dying the enemy will rag doll to the ground, paralyzed, still have the same health they had before the kill move, get back up after the paralysis wears off, and be invincible for a few seconds. At first I thought it was a bug with VioLens, but turning that off made no difference. Disabling this mod seemed to fix it.

Just letting you know that if you eat Netch Jelly to get the ingredient type since Paralyze is the first effect your character will get paralyzed and go to third person. When that happens your character stays in third person and can't go back or change the way third person looks. I had to quit the game, disable this mod, play the game and eat Netch Jelly, save and quit, reenable the mod, and then play the game.

This exactly just happened to me; lost a couple/few hours because of it. I love the mod, but felt the need to reiterate this fact: Netch Jelly got me permanently stuck in 3rd person, and the only fix I know of is to load an earlier save without having the mod active. Hopefully this mod will get updated eventually, but still I'd like to thank the mod author for their efforts. Kk

When adding the following in the Skyrim.ini:
    [Gameplay]
    bAllowHavokGrabTheLiving=1

You can grab NPC while they're under the Paralysis, Frozen or Ash Shell effect.
It goes great with this mod.
You can tactically position them on top of trapdoors etc.

So I see people say essential mod, but I also see a bug reported that is rather undesireable in that you could get stuck in a 3rd person camera permanently if you are paralyzed yourself. Which is it young fellers? I agree the game's frozen stiff paralyze effect looks incredibly silly. I have modded my game such that NPCs have the ability to paralyze me or my followers with a given spell or staff. I DO NOT want to be stuck in 3rd person view. Is it a severe problem or something that is annoying in the sense that you have to reload a previous save in order to get rid of the 3rd person camera (which would go from mildy annoying to severe problem over time for me).

This mod is great. The visual improvement is immeasurable

Can I ask a question, about it's use within other mods?

I also use Arrythmia91's excellent 'Throwing Dart' mod.

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53792/?

One component is a 'Stun Dart' which invokes Bethesda's bog standard paralysis visual effect. If I wanted to replace the 'standard' version with this, using TES5Edit, what 'spell' name would I be looking to replace, and what would I need to put in instead to invoke this?

BTW, I'm not being as cheeky as ask you to look at what he's done, I'm merely trying to work out what I might need to look to replace, and how :-) I'm quite prepared to give 'Rank Amateur Hour' a fling....

Look at what spell that mod refers to then look at the spell and effects that this mod refers to and make them the same.
