I really enjoy the idea of comment threads for collaboration and troubleshooting.

However, when a thread devolves into comments about stuff already covered in the ReadMe, cryptic messages I can do nothing about, and people ending every post with "Nevermind", it defeats the purpose of having one. Digging through a bunch of irrelevant nonsense to try to help people is impossible.

Because of this, I have chosen to lock this thread.

I will still be happy to collaborate and troubleshoot, but now via PM. The mod will still be active and I still might release updates.

This will make it easier for me to sift through what is relevant and what is irrelevant, and allow me to help those people who actually have problems and constructive comments.

You changed the voice. How do I change it back without uninstalling the MOD? or can you just do it for me?

    @kitsunemitsukai

hello, i was wondering where precisely you found the new Viera ears; while i did find the TERA mods pack that contained the Elin (who look terribly, terribly creepy in Skyrim), i have no idea how to extract the ears and add them to the viera race, or vice-versa. therefore, if you could point me to where others have found the sheol-viera ears, then i would be grateful. thanks.

Edit: i was able to find the ears in question: someone extracted the Elin ears from tera and made them into a wearable(?) mod. see the following link: http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=284358&uk=3693030325

Edit#2: the ears are stored in a chest in Riverwood, but they are listed as heavy armor, and replace whatever helm you're wearing.

    Nevermind.
    Figured it out!

Had to uninstall ALL files. Load game. Change race. Quit. Reinstall original. Load game. Quit. Reinstall patch. Change race. Save new master save...

    ...then pray.

Perhaps, have you been struggling with the original Mithra mod and not my patch? According to the neat new download history tracker, you have not actually installed this mod yet.

The original mod by ayuyu~ has many problems that also caused crashing and issues in my game. This patch should fix those.

I havent been able to get skyrim yet due to a broken computer but have been watching the mithra mod for months. I cannot say how well this fix will work nor can i say what i may think of / be able to do with my character but i thank you very very much for at least temporarily reviving this. ive been afraid id never get my mithra! as ive never been able to use these i cannot tell you just how good/bad they are but ive been watching a mod for a while that may at least help with the mithra and miqote ears/tails and eventually even the viera ones. Calyps Animal Ears - cat wolf fox cow - Craftable headwear by calyps . that mod has many types of ears and in recent updates apparently has added some rather nice tails as well. then theres also mystic tails that can help add them to your favorite kitty with their oh so lacking booty! these are mods that have them crafted as accessories and i believe take unused slots and attach to your character as if they were part of the mesh file. hope this might help someone and hope they all work together when i can finally play! eta hopefully one month!

If you would have looked at the ReadMe, you would have seen that all of these mods are already linked.

sorry maybe i dont know how to find the readme :/ i thought the description was the readme and i never saw those names or anything. upon a double check i note links with like "you can get ears and tails here" but if thats what you meant it might help to add their names or something. If its not sorry for my noobishness to this site it shall be fixed in time!

seeing as you posted recently I wanted to know what the deal was with the fugly faces? I have the latest and greatest files from you and him and god almighty they are so ugly >.<.. I saw some where he made a comment about "Please setplayerrace old mithra_race, when you use it." um eh? anything you might be able to tell me so that I can keep my lunch down when trying to roll a mithra? lol (It brings me back to my FFXI days ; anyway thank you for your time and effort on this .

Even back when I modded for Oblivion, people complained about races looking ugly. As you can see, my girl is lovely, and that was with only a little playing around. I do not know what the problem is. Just make sure you have the latest files Ayuyu~ uploaded. If you use a mod manager, you might have to overwrite old files manually. I am really not sure what else to try, as I have never had a problem with it.

it's cool, and I appreciate you responding, I have ECE though I might change out to racemenu if it proves to be better and more mod friendly, but anywho thanks for the great work you did and for being honest . ty

Definitely true, Mistle24, I just changed to ECE from Racemenu for the sake of another mod and when I showracemenu my existing toons from this mod they go all funny looking.
For people new to the mod that don't want to change to Racemenu just for these races, try de-activating ECE, then start your new toon and get it looking the way you want it. After a save you can close the game, restart ECE for general purpose and you shouldn't have any trouble with the appearance of your save unless you try to showracemenu it again while ECE is functioning.

As it says in the ReadMe:

      Manual Install
      --------------
      1. Extract this archive to any folder and then copy the contents to Skyrim's Data
      folder (Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim)
      2. Start Skyrim Launcher, click Data Files, and enable the .esp file.

Double check that the .esp is enabled and make sure your Skyrim is patched to 1.8 or whatever patch Ayuyu~ made it with.

It's not a patch, it is the actual mod. This is a patch to THAT mod. Link is in the description. Download and install it first, then install this fix to make it work properly. It's called a "fix" for a reason.

I will be happy to do that for you, but first, you must share with me where you found cute bunny ears! I am dying to have a cute Viera, and the ears included are just terrible.

I have left both copies up, so I see no reason to complain. Plus, even if they are supposed to be long, the shape of them was the abominable part. The ears are supposed to be more rounded and cute, not look like two spears sticking out of her skull. XD

Version 1.1 is up. This is the exact same as version 1, except I have also removed the ugly ears from Viera.

In addition, I have uploaded images of the Mithra and Viera in addition to Miqo'te, so you know what they look like. You should be able to achieve lovely characters such as them. If you are getting a strange face, be sure to reinstall Ayuyu~'s mod, especially without a mod manager, if you can.

By the way, do any of these races have any interactions with other NPCs based on their Vanilla counterparts? Because no one seems to say anything other than the quips related to how far you are in the skill trees. I mean, the Mithra, Miqo'te and (to a certain extent) Viera are kind of similar to the Khajiit in terms of certain anatomical aspects. Might even explain why they don't "Shout".

While there will not be any "Greetings, Khajiit!" or other racial dialogue with them, as they are custom characters, they still have all the skill tree comments. I saw posted somewhere that NPCs are supposed to start saying them at level 25, but that has never been the case, even with my vanilla Khajiit. The comments start coming after you're above level 50 or so. NPCs also recognize other basic things, such as if you are naked or if they see you sneaking. So, no, there will not be racial dialogue, but you will get the rest of the interaction dialogue normally.

OK. I guess that answers a general question. And what's the explanation for the Shouts missing their sound?

Ah, no, no. Don't worry about me caring too much about this. It's just a nitpick.
