Aside from crafting scrolls of cure wounds to become stupidly rich after any dungeon run with ruined books, it's a pretty nice little mod. Just be warned you need to use self control to not abuse it too much

This is a such good mod, but I have to remove it. I'd abuse it like crazy to get rich. Have to uninstall.

Haven't tried it yet, downloading right now, but from what I've read in the comments and looked at myself, this mod is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to go for a bard/treasure hunter playthrough and scrolls would be a perfect weapon to use in case of emergencies or to get past tricky situations. All the other scroll mods on Nexus can either be exploited because they are too easy to access or they use ridiculous soul gem, rare alchemy ingredient, spell tome, and associated perk in order to craft, which is utterly a waste. But this. This is what scroll crafting should be like: a well-learned character, transcribing spells from a tome to his/her own paper, and imbuing that scroll with that spell in a simple, clean fashion. Props to the author for making a simple, straightforward, and yet still immersive mod. Cheers!

This is a great idea for a mod. perfect for role play, if you are running a character who would not usually use spells. I looked at some other scroll making mods but they all required you to be able to cast that level of spell....what's the point? if you can cast the spell, cast it, don't worry about a scroll lol. but the idea of using a spell book and a roll of paper is really good, and i think make since. going to give it a try.

I love this mod, but only as much as I hate it. I look at this and I just keep scratching my head and thinking... ?WHY? The concept is awesome... BUT, you did a handful of things that just ruin it completely.

    1. Anyone with a modded house cannot use this Scroll table.
You place the Scroll table on top of whatever we have in that space,
but thats no big deal because I can simply move it, right? WRONG!!!

    2. The Scroll table is not only in the way of my personal stuff, Its completely UNMOVEABLE!!!
You cannot move the Scroll table with the console commands (getpos x-y-z * setpos x-y-z)... AND!!!
You cannot move the Scroll table with the Jaxonz Positioner either.
But thats no big deal because we can use the console to disable the Scroll Table, right? WRONG AGAIN!!!

    3. Even in the event that you manage to console (markfordelete) the damn thing, that space is still ruined.
You only made the appearance of the Scroll table go away, for much like bookshelves, the object is still there, only invisible.
So basically you keep bumping into an invisible table when in that area.

But hey! you could fix these issues by installing the version of the mod where Scroll tables are not added to the homes, and install the version that places one table at the College, and then go to the College and use the Jaxonz Positioner to make a copy of the Scroll table, bring it back to my home, where I could position it as I see fit.... .. rrrrright???????

NO!!!!!!!!!!! EVEN IF YOU WANT THE SCROLL TABLE THAT BAD... AND YOU GO TO ALL THAT TROUBLE... GO ALL THE WAY OUT THERE AND GET A COPY OF IT.... BRING IT HOME... AND PLACE IT WHERE YOU LIKE......... it turns invisible and you just bump in to the damn thing...

    Seriously guy, WTF?

what about spells from other mods? i use apocalypse spell back with its ordinator patch... will those tomes show up? or do you actually have to add them into the mod one at a time? i will get this, because its the best out there, as the comment below states, but would you be able to make it so that any tome in ur inventory can be used? so it will detect spells from any other mods?

I was thinking of making a scroll crafting mod, but then I thought I should check to see if one had been made already. Well there are more than 10 as of this writing. I figured I would see if any fit with my desire for my own personal use. I'm going to tell you and anyone else who cares to read this why I am choosing your mod over any of the others that add scroll crafting to the game.

    1. Doesn't require you to know the spell.

Why in any hell would I need or want to be using scrolls if I already knew the spell in the first place? That's silly.

    2. Doesn't require soul gems.

Soul gems are a pain in the ass. Alchemy is easy. Smithing is easy. Scription should be equally as easy.

    3. Doesn't require perks in the respective schools.

Again, not trying to be a mage. Don't want the perks. Level 1 usability.

    4. Requires you to have the spell tome of the scroll you want.

This is the only thing required to prevent the scription from being broken or otherwise unbalanced. Tomes are leveled for heaven's sake.

    5. Includes the crafting bench.

I was going to just use the tanning rack.

    6. Doesn't add superfluous crap, doesn't mess with leveled lists, npc inventories, etc.

    'nuff said.

    7. "Only scrolls you have the tomes to make will be shown in the window, to reduce clutter."

    Appreciate that. Details count.

So those are 7 solid reasons why your mod is the one. I hope it is as good as I expect it will be. When I get to testing it and it is, I'll be back to endorse and update this comment. There are two things that I would have either done differently or not done at all. However, I'm not going to mention them, because as you suggested to another commenter, I can just mod those two thing in/out and be happy as a pig in mud.

    Thanks bro

Edit: Fantastic. Exceeded expectations. And I can take away one of the silent criticisms as I hadn't realized the "old" version was available and identical to the update minus the crafting tables in the player homes. I absolutely love the shack. This is the kind of modding that we need more of - simple, elegant, satisfying. This has gone seriously under-noticed. I only hope that more people stumble upon this gem. Thank you again for all your hard work. Endorsed.

    Doesn't require SKSE!

    Great mod!
No crappy crafting, with silverdust, charcoal, or whatnot,
no silly stations, (making scrolls at a tanning rack!?)
    no clutter,
no magic skill required (why else would we use scrolls)

The only thing I miss, is more stations.
One in every vanilla home is nice, but couldn't you add optional files with scroll stations for DLC homes, for Court Wizards, the Volkihar castle, and the College of Winterhold? It's a bit strange that none of those locations have scroll crafting.

I came to write this exact comment. More stations need be added in other locations. Or better yet, let us craft an item that allows to craft scrolls on the go. Makes much more sense to me.

Can we craft scroll which spells are from mods?
