UPDATE: Version 0.8 is now out along with the compatibility patch for COTv3.1.
For those who are using the lastest version of Climates of Tamriel (COT v3.1), I would like to confirm that Solstheim Climate Overhaul is fully compatible with it - all you have to do is disable COTv3's dragonborn patch. You will have COTs weathers for Skyrim mainland and SCO's unique weathers for Solstheim . For those who want to have both SCO and COT weathers in Solstheim, I have already uploaded an optional compatibility patch.
Hi there, love the mod, but one small problem, the fires, candles, lights are so dull, possible fix please? , I've already got brighter fires and candle mods, they look great in skyrim.
This is a great mod: I'm not sure if you're still active on Nexus Mods, but have you considered porting this over to SSE? I always play LE with this mod but I can't migrate to SSE due to this mod not being available and no mod being made on SSE that replicates the behaviour of the SCO.
Hey! Before I say anything else, I just want to complement the awesome work you've done! Keep it up!
That said, and I'm not sure anyone else in the VR world has given this a go, but I've installed it just to see if it'll run, and it works great so far. Little issue though, I'm sure the particle effects look great for everyone else, but for me in VR the particle bits are too big and a bit distracting to the eye. Any way I can shut those off?
I have had some amazing weather with this and I like it a lot. I'm using the latest version, just the esm and no other weather mods. My main problem is that there are almost constant thunderstorms with torrential rain, mostly in the Ravenrock area although the weather seems to follow me if I fast travel (had it raining hard in Skaahl village). So I'm just wondering if there is a slight imbalance there. Also, the nights are a bit too dark for me; atmospheric but I can't see where I'm going!I really like the mod so I'm hoping you have time to do a few tweaks
Edit: using the Paradise Island plugin and its still raining
I have the rain problem as well. If I travel from Skyrim its fine for that day or until I go through a load door or fast travel, after that it just rains more or less continuously everywhere, I'm also using Paradise Island plug in and my load order is BOSS ordered. I don't use any other weather mods and my only lighting mod is URWL - which doesn't affect weather at all. Using latest version 0.8 - would it be better to go back to previous as I notice the Paradise plug in was put up at the same time as the previous version - maybe a bit of incompatibility has crept in in between the two versions?
Would prefer my Paradise somewhat less damp if that could be worked on please
I found a few typos in Solstheim Climate Overhaul.esp.
Open TES5Edit. Select Solstheim Climate Overhaul.esp. Expand "Region" and select "WeatherRavenRock01" node. Find Weather Type "Solstheim Rainy01" and lower its Chance from "10000000" to an appropriate value. Repeat all nodes. Save. Repeat all SCO-related esps.
Pretty sure he did mean to put it to 10 as it looked was stated with an earlier post of his a few pages back, guess he forgot to implement a fix though.
the effects are great but the weather changes too fast and it changes without following any pattern, during the day it's sunny, it rains then snows then volcanic ash, even if you stay in the same place
Thank you, I am playing Dragonborn for the first time and found the landscape horribly bland and depressing. This mod has made everything look amazing.
Hi guys, even your raven rock's lanterns are very weak? For me they do a small amount of light and I must take the torch... I'm using CoT with the dark night (but in the mainland it's perfect), with the patch for this mod and ELFX.
