I have fixed the prominent issues! Feel free to post any concerns or suggestions, as I'm looking to constantly expand this project! Note: This program detects whether or not you have a profile installed by the file d3d9.dll in the profile folder. If you don't have that file with your enb (you should have it), it won't detect a profile.
I've been using this mod for a while now (and my previous posting about the DLing issue seems to have just been that day, maybe Nexus was really busy, or my internet DLs that day was crap) and it works wonderfully. The only thing I wish now is there's even more profiles beyond the 5 slots since since the time this mod was created years ago, there's so many new ENBs that I want to give a chance of trying.
Anyways, 5 profiles is wonderful, but I just wonder if there's any chance of having an update for more profiles, or if there's a mod that does as good a job with more profile slots? Maybe 5 more profile slots?
Endorsed! For those wondering how it works, here's a basic tutorial:
First of all, if you download it with MO (don't know about NMM), it won't show up in the downloads directory because the file is actually an unpacked .exe, so manually go to ModOrganizer/downloads and look for it. Move it anywhere you like and add it to your list of executables.
1) Open the .exe and choose Skyrim's directory (where tesv.exe is). 2) Click on "ADD FILES" Next to "Profile 1": a folder will open up with just "profile 1.txt" in it; put all the ENB's files that you're gonna use with Profile 1 there. Make SURE it contains the d3d9.dll aswell, otherwise it won't work. When you're done, close the folder and click "Rename" to add the name you want. 3) Repeat the process with the other ENBs (always make sure the folders contain the d3d9.dll file). 4) Select the Profile you want to use and click "Apply".
You're done.
What this mod does (from what I've seen, correct me if I'm wrong! ) is copy/pasting the files into Skyrim's directory and removing them when you change profile (to add those of the other profile you've selected of course). So you should clean up Skyrim's folder after you're done managing the profiles, so that it contains no enb files at all. Then you select one profile from the .exe and click apply: voilĂ , the files pop up in the Skyrim's folder like magic.
Sorry if I wasn't clear enough! Ps. I apologize for my poor English.
Can you please make at least a basic tutorial to how to even use your mod? I really appreciate your efforts but its rare for me to see a mod or tool that has absolutely no instructions. I start the mod up then what do I do? Do I extract certain files into a certain profile folder or what? I set the skyrim directory. Please provide direction.
How dose this app work.. I have no idea what do do with it? itneeds a tutorial. I open it and now what? I can not set a directory for Skyrim (I do not have installed in program files)... and if i hit "addfiles" it loads windows explore at a directory called Profile1.. what do I do with this dir..
This doesn't work with the injector version. I use the injector version so I can use third party OSD software like HWINFO with RTSS and EVGA Precision X with RTSS.
I'm unable to download version 2.3 via NMM, it starts, gets like 3kb, then stops and says it can't be added? I also tried downloading version 2.2 with same results, 3kb then stops, incomplete with can't be added.
The mod seems to be a great way to use several different ENBs. I'll wait a bit I guess and see if there's anything before next download attempt.
can someone explain to me how this works? i no how to apply enbs to skyrim the usual way by copying and pasting in the skyrim dir..but i dont get how this works..please explain.
I can't get how this works. I'm trying to add the files. Location file opens with only the profile1.ini file inside. Great, I copy/paste here all my enb files(sharpshooter) and then what?
Thanks for your work and effort you've put into making two very useful tools.
1. Does the directory the switcher asks for point to the profiles or the skyrim installation folder? 2. Does the switcher auto-detect the Skyrim installation folder? If not and I set the directory will it be saved or do I have to reset it each time I start the switcher? 3. Does the switcher support ENBs that come with textures (the sun of K ENB for example)? Does it keep the folder structure I add to the files of a profile?
You see a readme would not only help a noob like me but also yourself by keeping us from asking those questions. ;-)
1. The directory switch button asks for the location of the skyrim folder. 2. You have to enter it the first time you start the program, but it will save it so you don't have to do it every time. 3. It will add textures, but I can't make it remove them... If I did it would always remove the sun texture, even if you didn't have K ENB or an ENB that added one, and that would be a problem

P.S.
A couple more profile could be fantastic ...
