what materials needed would be nice in the description. how about a craftable azura star that never runs out of charge like always has a grand soul in it even after enchanting
Great mod! Thanks! I wonder if you could add to the exit of the Helgen cave, the following items: One torch One skeleton key with a perk added (10f13f) as soon as you pick it up) One spellbook of Clairvoyance One spellbook of Resurrection One pickaxe One steel dagger One set of leather armor
I think these things are essential for a fair and decent beginning.
For those looking for a quick solution to the skeleton key breaking and lowering your lockpicks, open the console and type: player.addperk 10F13F -> Will give you the skeleton key perk and it won't break anymore. @Imperfections create a new script and add to your code "Game.GetPlayer().AddPerk(pSkeletonKeyPerk)" this should fix the key breaking and lowering your lockpicks.
oh and you need a FILLED black soul gem to craft it!
I have over 100 lock picks and I also bought a black soul gem from, well who else? anyway, it said that I didn't have the required items. I'm going to look into with CK and fix it myself. for those who don't know how to use the CK, I learned through trial and error, playing around with different things WITHOUT searching anything on Google or getting help from someone. I had no background knowledge of modding whatsoever. before you go and say "it's too hard" and demand the creator to fix it for you or ask someone to make a mod for you, try it yourself. you may have some fun, more than you'd think.
Edit: Yup, you have to have a filled black soul gem. (Also, It gave me a warning, it seemed to be something about it running on two files rather than 3 and it asked if I wanted to correct it and I said no). it shouldn't be a filled black soul gem anyway. I was under the impression that it was a regular black soul gem. the forge said "black soul gem" not filled, so it seems the mod was a little misleading.
I haven't seen any mod ever saying filled black soul gem for crafting, only black soul gem. So this may not be a mistake. If you've fixed some other mods, this is what I think, should be done: 1.Inform the original author of mistake/bug he/her made and point for a solution. 2.If the author doesn't fix the mod, ask for permission to do it your self. 3.If you cannot contact the author, fix the problem, upload fixed files and give credits and add links to the original file and describe your reason for uploading files. Also, working with "Creation Kit" or as before "The Elder Scrolls Construction Set" is the very beginning of modding. Long time ago I started the same way you started and when you've learned how to mod, you can make your own mods or adjust downloaded mods for personal use. So keep it up!
For those that can't be bothered to look through the comments
This gives you a craftable skeleton key. 100 Lockpicks and a Black Soul Gem. It works slightly different to the ingame skeleton key in the sense it gives you infinite lockpicks. The skeleton key still "breaks" if not successful but you can immediately try again and again (even if you have zero lockpicks).
To get it to work you need the Unbreakable perk, lvl 100 in the Lockpick tree, or type into the console -> player.addperk 58209
