Good mod, but the guns don't ignore armor? Dunno if Mahty's original file had the guns ignoring armor. Either way, I prefer this version, since they're harder to obtain and it'll make my new playthrough much more interesting. Keep up the good work!

For some reason, all 4 rifles work for me at the same speed (that of a regular dwarven crossbow). suggestions?

Yeah, because altering the speed makes the reload sound go out of sync, I swapped out a damage/speed ratio for a damage/weight ratio. The rifles that do more damage are now just much heavier, but shoot at the same speed.

Edit: Whoops, I forgot to update the description on that.

I kinda wish you had at least 1 rifle with rapid fire, like the originals. But still, these look awesome.

I love this weapon... it's basically a dwemer crossbow. About the only change I'd recommend is in the crafting - dwarven scrap metal is nearly impossible to find, even from destroyed dwemer bots. BENT dwarven scrap metal is easy to get. I'd recommend allowing bent dwarven scrap metal, but more of it. Or maybe add a smithing recipe for dwarven scrap metal using bent dwarven scrap metal. I use that same mod over in Fallout 3 (bent tin cans => tin cans at the workbench).

Anywho, my current character is a crossbow fanatic... just of the dwarven variety.

Well, thats true, but these are the dwemer, who can make gigantic mechanical titans that can one-shot you. However, if you want a bit of immersion, imagine these are steam-powered, that pressurize water and use that to shoot arrow heads at near-sonic speeds or something.

There are magics that go boom. The Dwemer were famous/infamous for using soul shards to power their technologies.

Also, who's to say that the elemental salts act like normal table salt and not Saltpeter which was used in early era explosive powders.

The other aspect to remember is that Tamriel as a whole, and as a result, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim are realms of FANTASY. What is normal logic and science for us does not apply to them. Like how Batman's "I'm the Batman" is his get out of jail free card when his story has plot holes.

Rant aside, enjoy them for what they are, a great steampunk themed alternative to the normal bow/arrow and crossbow/bolt.

press ~ then enter (help "rifle") without the parentheses and it will give you the ID's, or you could just craft them.

There is a retexture on the original mod page.
