Always wanted a good powerful NORD mage. And here he is! He's a good mage companion. I had no problems or bugs while playing. If you cannot find him, try to wait several hours in The Arcanuem.
Do you still have any plans to port your guys across the SSE? There is a serious lack of handsome followers over there and this guy is just gorgeous <3 <3
I cant find him! i looked in the arcanuem and the hall of atainment, top level. i waited till 10am to lok in arcanneum, and waited an hour each time and looked again. 9pm to 4am at night i did the same in the hall of atainment. where is he??
Im using the NPC editor, I cant find the preset face for him... Can you tell me the name on the list of "heads" I need to find for him? He really doesnt look anything like the screenshots you have. I used most of your suggested mods, however I could not get Sharpshooters Graphics mod to work.
I don't know how the NPC editor works so I can't be of much help there. Are you talking about the "Nord 3" preset in the "Better Male Presets" mod? It would have replaced the third nord male preset, but I don't have the Creation Kit installed anymore so I can't be sure of the exact file name.
The face textures you use will play the biggest part in whether he looks the same as the screenshots. These screenshots were taken with the "Better Males" mod installed, which is available at http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2488/?. If you use a different body mod, like SAM, he won't look the same. I switched to SAM some time ago and with the new textures he looks totally different-- I don't think he looks as good anymore.
I am using Better Males, I pretty much downloaded all of your recommended mods. Which one did you use for the screenshots? I didnt know which of the versions to pick. Maybe Im not using the one you used and that might fix it. I have a really nice computer and with such an old game I can run on Ultra with no problems, but Im just perplexed why he doesnt look as freaking steamy in game as your screenies.
And after watching a tutorial vid, I was able to get Sharpshooters working. Side question though, now that I have Sharpshooters working(and it looks amazing btw) I am getting things out of focus to be extremely fuzzy. Its rather annoying and it kinda gives me a headache. Any way around that that you know of?

I think I was just using the standard Geonox faces. It's honestly been years since I've used any of those mods, or this one. Auleric has pretty dramatic facial features and he doesn't look as great to me anymore. I still use my Stenvar and Ahtar as followers though-- I feel like their looks held up better if you want to check out one of those.
Sharpshooters and other ENBs tend to have really dramatic depth of field effects, which will make things super blurry when they're not in the center of your screen. I did a quick google search (so don't quote me on this because I haven't tested it) and saw these instructions to turn that effect off:
"Open enbseries.ini (in your Skyrim install folder) and make these changes [EFFECT] EnableDepthOfField=true set it to: [EFFECT] EnableDepthOfField=false"
Hi highonsunday, I absolutely adore Auleric but I'm having a little problem with him. He was working perfectly and appearing normally, but then I married him and now I can't find him at all! I've tried typing 'help Auleric' into the console but the id that comes up doesn't seem to work. Can you help at all?
Hi Newey, the weddings in this game are hella buggy and sometimes your partner will skip out on your wedding and randomly disappear for a week. Usually you can find them by going to their home base and waiting for 5-10 days of in-game time. Auleric's home base is the college of winterhold, so wait around for a while and then start looking there. I'm glad you liked him enough to marry him though!
He's a good follower except for one flaw: as a mage you can get kicked out of the Mage College for "assaulting" him albeit accidentally. That kind of puts a damper on things. :/
He won't die, which is good but a few flames in the wrong place you get suspended from the College.
I used Extensible Follower Framework by Expired to make him essential...no more assault charges!
