Last time I checked, there is a very visible dragonscale pattern on the hilt. That took a good deal of work to make. Are you using the proper normal maps that come in the archive?
To be honest you took the cool dragon scale look from the handle, unless you think you can make a far more hd dragonscale handle and replace it and then make the bottom of the hilt look like realistic gold instead of a bland looking metal.
