I have played Skyrim through three separate runs including dragonborn, and I never knew about the soltheim marker.  Still I like the idea of dock markers for other purposes, maybe link a ship to travel to Solitude dock and compatable with new lands mods?  A menu that asks where you need to go including Leyawin, Bruma, Elswyre, the ports in morrowind - not the volcano isle but elsewhere and Daggerfall, high rock.  But only if you have mods for those areas loaded.

It would be nice to go around the island and put a marker for each dock. Eventually I would like to be able to ride a boat in real time to each, that would be cool.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but the fast travel option is the little intricate arrow that points into the ocean on both the Skyrim and Solstheim world maps (although this doesn't let you travel if you want to role-play and actually take the boat by paying the captain).

@UlithiumDragon Thanks for the heads up. I initially didn't know about that arrow when I started playing the Dragonborn DLC, but I wished I could fast-travel to the docks outside Windhelm for a more lore-friendly way of getting there.

I went ahead and edited the description to reflect that this is to help a roleplay-friendly path of getting there. Who knows? There may be more use of the Windhelm docks future DLC or mods...

    What?
Why wouldn't Bethsoft do this, they have fast travel options for everything else.
    me testing.
