I think you have a good idea of where to get to but the textures are not right. The problem with the helmet is that it does not match the theme and color that the armor has. the color of the armor is not just pure white it looks like it is made of ivory, has a run down look, gray marks and small cuts. What you should do is integrate the ancient falmer crown with the ebony helmet. The crown would be a base to start from and then continue the theme onto the helmet. The armor is not only a elven ebony mix. It also has its own unique element; the bat. The armor has a bat theme instead of an eagle. If you look at the crown and the pauldrons on the armor their is a bat wing pattern. Check out this mod it shows what I am talking about with the last pichttp://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34536//?
as far as the designs you are right they are not accurate to the theme the color is copied from the ancient falmer armor apart from the dirt and cutmarks it is as if it was brand new from the blacksmith ...its not white also the crown is a chopped off ebony helmet with designs added Plus I did this for myself and sharred it I am not a proffessional.
I'm assuming it's male-only because of the original models? I think this was a pretty inspired move, given how the Ancient Falmer Crown looks. If you can do a female version, that would rock, otherwise I'll play with it.
Congratulations was really good, but you could make an optional version of the helmet with the face fully open is a personal preference but I think many people would like.
that will require mesh editing which I can't do. That is why I used navida1's mesh in the first place. If there is already an ebony helmet like you describe perhaps it could be done. if you find one, write the link and I will see to it.
Nice! but you should set it to the elven smithing category and give it glass stats. (light armor that it fits for the perk) So that it requires moonstone, leather strips and bone meal or something like that and needs a moonstone ingot to improve.
Or another idea is, that it isn´t craftable but there is one single helmet in the inventory of this snow elf you kill at the end of the forgotten valley (forgot his name) So this is a unique helmet.
I would prefer the inventory version because it´s much more immersive.
I made it heavy armor because my ancient falmer armmor is heavy. I suppose I could make it elven and not ebony but that will take time cause the files and the nifs must be reconfigured. As for the Snow elf boss I don't think I have the skills to do that
to sum up I will make:
an elven light version and an elven heavy version and sth to do with the matching set perk.
I've already done the boots but they were the smallest piece I will probably make the gauntlets but the cuirass is huge and unforgiving texturewise. Anyway, It's in my mind and depends on my mood. I work a little, I drop it and then I work again. I'm not a pro artist or modder. I do this for fun.

The wonderfull shape and the color base belong to the other modders I stated.
