    As you may have guessed, this mod is semi-dead, as I'm not currently working on it. (And I haven't answered any questions here in a long time - sorry about that btw). I still plan on getting back to it someday, when I have more time and motivation on my hands.

    Some comments on some frequent questions here:

    1) Apparently, BOSS still complains that this mods requires GeneralStores. For anything above version 2.3, this is NOT the case. This mod is completely stand-alone. Note that the provided patch "GeneralDisplays - GS.esp" DOES require GeneralStores, and the game will crash when used without it. This patch is, however, just a bonus and not required for compatibility. So if in doubt - just stay away from "GeneralDisplays - GS.esp".

    2) There seems to be a major bug, where the treasure container (the safe) does nothing when activated. Some people have this bug, some don't, its weird. Personally, I could not reproduce the problem, and I have no clue what could cause this. Maybe I messed up somewhere, or maybe its Skyrim acting weird. I don't currently have the time for debugging and testing (again, sorry).

      Hello, i have the bug for the treasure chest, it doesn't work with my mod ( an imperial fort for home )
      Do you have a solution today for this bug ?

      and I do not understand, it worked before, and now not, since I enlarged my treasure room ....

      I'm working on this specific issue, I need you to tell me everything that happened between it working and not working. For instance, I started a save file, added a mod containing the safe. This worked. Then upon starting a new save where the mod is already installed caused it to cease working.

      I don't see what more I could say, I use this mod in addition to mine, and I have this problem all the time.
      My mod adds a Fort near Riverwood, and each time I go to my Fort, then to my treasure room, and try to put an item like a claw or dragon priest mask, the item doesn't appear not, and it remains in the container which is used to place the artifacts.

      And I was suddenly forced to copy the basic mask placement system from the game, to make them work, which allowed me to be able to place the masks again, otherwise it wouldn't have work, the problem is that I don't see how to do with other artifacts (like claws, jewelry, daedric weapons, etc.)

      So it's dead, right ?

    Is this mod compatible with the DLC heartfire?, and someone can make a spanish Translation for this mod please

    Dunno if anyone passing through can help, but I'm having a real problem with GD now for some reason. I just returned to decorating a house I'd been working on, and changed some things with the displays; removed a couple of the "lazy" set displays in favor of the individual ones, but the items are now showing in both the new location and the old. I've done new save files, I've done "pcb" and "resetinterior [cell name]", I've waited for 24 hours in game, I've tried going halfway across Skyrim to do something else and then come back, and they're still doing it. It's incredibly frustrating, so I hope someone has some advice.

      I am currently having this same issue in a house I've been working on. If anybody ever found a solution to this please let me know.

      This is fairly simple to fix, you need to use the console in-game to select the offending objects when they appear in improper places and use the "markfordeletion" command. You may need to do this once, then reselect the object and use the same command again.

    I was using this mod with the Collector's Box add-on, and I lost the box somewhere (dropped it on the ground and forgot to pick it up)
    Is there any way to find it now? By using its id or something?

    Edit: I found a solution, and thought I'd post it in case someone else needs it in the future.
    I found the id of the box using the creation kit: xx0290b5, where xx is the load number of the "Collector's Box" add-on.
    So to re-add the box to your inventory type "player.additem xx0290b5 1" in the console.

      Do you mean from an existing esp? If so, then it would probably mean that you have to merge the esps. Which I think is a more complicated process.

    I am having trouble. I downloaded the mod, but it just crashes my skyrim everytime. I disabled all other mods and tried just using it but it won't work. Anyone got an idea?

    Hey looking 4 help. I downloaded this mod, so i could add it in one of my own, but i cant seem to make it work. I have just used some of the LAZY items, but everything accept the dragonmask disply does'nt work. I have only downloaded the main file, do i need to download more of the files? The Collecters box that i said to be required, i cant find at the forge, and is it needed for the dragonclaw display, black book display and the deadric artifacts display?

    i know this mod/resource pack is not being updated any longer but i am having trouble with it.

    so i am creating my own player home mod right now and i run into some trouble.
    when i place any activator in my cell it shows up as a big red block with a exclamation mark in it.
    i have not tried in my mod yet but i asume i can be certain that the activators will not work.

    sooooo to get to the point. did i miss anything while installing this or are there any requirements i am not meeting???

    hope someone can help me out.?!

      edit: never mind... try installing the Unpacked BSA

      A fix for this is to add "GeneralDisplays.bsa" to the SResourceArchiveList value in SkyrimEditor.ini. That should sort you out nicely

    As some have noted, the link in the description for a mod that allows removal of Black Books and Elder Scrolls from inventory is broken. However, a new mod has been uploaded recently that does a fine job of this and more. See https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/88000/?
