Sorry for the update spam! Somewhere between taking my screenshots and uploading the files, v1.4's normal maps got screwed up. I remade the normal maps and this time they were compressed, zipped, uploaded, downloaded and installed via NMM before being play tested.
Version 1.4 I figured out how to make seamless patterns so I remade the armor using new scalemail and chainmail patterns. They look 1k times better.
To use the scalemail:
The main file,'chainmail version', contains the meshes and esp file so install it first before installing the scalemail version.
so thanks, I made it works by following the instructions you gave on the pinned post. It's perfect for Lydia. Even if the shield is not available (yet ?) it works well and does not tear the eye.
As the other I do recommand making the scaled version totally stand-alone for installing, especially when it's the case for your other mode ^^ Maybe you should add that the scaled require installing the chainmail first in the DL pages with the multiple files ?
Nice job tho. I like that. And I'm franco-german. So I'm hard to satisfied and very good at critics.
Hi there, I was just curious...is this a replacer for the non-gilded version (aka vanilla version, I guess) of this armor? 'Cause I kind of really love how this armor looks vanilla, but I'd really love to have this version as an option as well so...I guess I'm asking that if I download your Gilded Nordic Armor it won't replace the original in my game, will it? I read your description but it didn't really say one way or the other so I figured I'd just ask. Hope to hear back from you soon, wonderful armor &, like I said, I'd really love to have it in my game, I just want to make sure that this & the "original" Nordic Armor can exist in my game simultaneously without arguing over which one is the "Nordiest" lol. XD (It's even funnier because the character that I have in mind that usually loves to wear this armor is actually a Redguard haha).
Hello! i've instaled the mod, both... twice and i cant craft the armour i have all the perks, the DLC and all... how can i make this work? please, help
Any chance I could grab the Ref IDs for the individual pieces?
I'm running PerMa and I can't find the crafting option for this awesome looking armor at the crafting station. I have the equivalent to Advanced Smithing and the DB DLC.
UPDATE: Nevermind. I installed both the chainmail & scalemail files and can now see the gilded armors in my MISC crafting section.
Hmmm... this is weird I cannot craft this at all =( I could before the patch, i did a clean install recently because i was having a few CTD's now and then, and now I'm wondering, I can craft the regular nordic armor but not the Gilded Nordic one, I reinstalled the mod a few times already with the NMM, and still no luck... any suggestions? I tried writing this on the console "Help "Gilded Nordic" and had no results at all, its like the armor doesn't not exist...
Which version are you trying to use? You have to make sure that the main file for the Chainmail version is installed first. Be sure the .esp is activated on your list. THEN if you wish you can install the Scalemail version, and when it asks if you wish to upgrade click on "NO." It will then ask if you wish to overwrite the files, click on "Yes to All." The two versions are mutually exclusive, so you can only have one or the other, but not both.
So,.. I have the DLC,.. AND the Advanced armour perks,.. it's still not showing up,.. am I missing something else? I've reinstalled,.. still no dice,..
When it asks you if you want to upgrade, say "NO". Then when it asks you if you want to overwrite the files, say "Yes to All". That should do the trick for you.
