Because "standalone follower" is not the same as "standalone mod". Standalone follower means he doesn't replace existing followers, it has nothing to do with his dependency on other mods.
??? That makes no sense. First of all because this IS a mod, secondly, because saying it's "standalone" as in it doesn't replace existing followers is odd in this context, simply because the word "replacer" is often used in those kinds of mods. Standalone it's just used in not being dependant of other mods, just like the definition itself of the word "Refers to a device that is self-contained, one that does not require any other devices to function" (http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/S/stand_alone.html). If the author was in fact refering to not replacing existing npcs then it was just not used correctly and that's it.
I mean you can quote definitions all day long but standalone has been used interchangeably with "non-replacer" since before morrowind and people have had no problem understanding the difference between that and a mod with no dependencies for as long. It's really not a big deal I promise.
Hello! I downloaded your mod quite some time ago, but as I role play very heavily, I had not used it yet. Finally, it was time to fit him into my game. He works perfectly, looks wonderful, and I want to thank you. As others have said, there are not enough good looking male followers, and I could not be more pleased! Thank you for this mod!
