If I manually modify the files myself, will this work on clothing mods? ie. BronzeArmor_1.nif to BronzeArmorArgonian_1.nif

    Hello there!

How is this project going? I am really interested in bodies by race mods, can I help you with something Puffthemagicdragon?

Edit: There is a way I can help you with making all armors (killerkeos + calientes, for example) available for BBR?

Hi! Real life can be a paint, sometimes.

So Caliente has not posted any updates to her Vanilla Outfits for CBBE mod in over 2 years. I think it's safe to say that the project is abandoned. In order to add additional armors, clothing, etc (including other mods) to my BBR, we would need someone with good modelling skill to modify said meshes to work with Caliente's body slide tool. If someone makes the base meshes, it's a simple task of using the body slide tool to mass export modified versions for each body type, and then a little PowerShell trickery and some CK cutting and pasting to update BBR.

I'm working on the same thing but I'm wondering how far your going to take this it seems your ahead of me for now.

    Are you going to do...

    1. All armors including gauntlets and boots?
    2. Add armors to blacksmith and tailor shops?
    3. Include compatibility for all dlc?
    4. Diversify npc skins faces, age and skintone?
    5. Edit any npc to fit characteristics?

Hi, Sorry for the late reply. Real life and stuff. Yeah.

The models for this mod were created entirely using Caliente's BodySlide Tool's built-in batch creation capability. I plan to include support for everything (including DLC) as support is added by Caliente in her Vanilla clothing and armors mod. I'm way too lazy to put forth the effort to manually modify meshes to work with her discombobulator myself and that's a prerequisite.

Gauntlets and boots are generally not affected by Caliente's BodySlide tool, so they will not be changed in this mod except as Caliente makes exception in hers.

I will not be doing anything with textures, be it face textures or body textures.

I will not be editing any NPCs.

      Hope that helps Good luck!

Here's what might be a stupid question, do I need to install CBBE prior to this mod? I assume i need CBBE installed so this mod can access the various components of CBBE but the install instructions are not clear on that point.

      I'm sorry!
I recommend installing CBBE first, then Vanilla Clothes & Armor for CBBE, and then this mod last. But order shouldn't matter as no files are overwritten by this mod.
Theoretically, you could just install this mod without the other 2, but you'll need to manually install textures from the other two into the proper folders.

You have just become one of my favorite modders of all time. Your mod does automatically what I've been doing by hand. I am stoked! Thank you for your diligent work.

Hmm, There are a lot of body textures out there...
So if there would be optional folders for the optional textures, the users could fill them up as they wish.

I would also like this to see this as an optional feature, if it's possible and not too difficult to implement.

To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what you're requesting.
Installing texture mods with NMM is easy and there shouldn't be any conflict at all with BBR.

All races share the same body and face textures, only their face normal maps are different. I'm requesting separate body and face textures/normal maps for each race. For Example: Nords use default CBBE textures, Orcs use fitness body textures, Elves use mature skin textures, etc. There are other mods that do this with the textures and nude-only bodies, but NONE of them support separate armors for each race like this mod does.

Basvanbeus Mesh and Texture Changer supports separate bodies and textures. ( but no armor QQ)
Unique Everythings supports separate meshes, textures, and skeletons. (but no armor!)
EveryBodys Different randomly assigns different body textures to races.

I know there are a few other mods that attempt to do unique bodies/textures by race, but nobody has managed to put together a mod that gives separate armors for each race like your mod does. If you added separate folders/files for textures by race, this would be the best mod.

Now admittedly, I don't know anything about modding for Skyrim. This could be something incredibly difficult or time-consuming to implement. I would just love to have an optional feature to assign separate body/face textures to each race. Other mods set it up so that there are file paths for each race. A "female orc" texture folder, a "female breton" texture folder, etc. I like the way you set up the armor so that it's all together but each one has a specific race name. Is there any way you could do that for textures as well? Sorry for the super-lengthy post. I just wanted to explain myself correctly.

Also, THANK YOU for this mod. It is so incredible to have different bodies for each race. To me it seems like there is absolutely no point to it if it doesn't work for the armor as well (and your mod is the only one I know of that does this! ) I would gladly endorse you again if I could, and I voted you mod of the month. I really do hope this mod gets more attention and endorsements, because it's a great idea. Thank you.

      OK now I understand
The CK has built-in functionality for doing separate body textures by race, obviously because that's how Khajiit and Argonians get their textures. I think a few other races have their own textures as well. It wouldn't be too hard to set up in the CK, but choosing textures for each race is going to be fun >.< And most skin texture mods would no longer work.
      I'll look into it.

Awesome! Thank you for looking into it, that's really nice of you.

You wouldn't have to choose the textures, since that's a lot of extra work. You could set up the file paths or file names (not sure how you would set it up), but leave them empty or use default textures. Then people could install your mod and put whatever textures they want in the folders.

Thank you again for all this work, this is a great mod.
