Hello Tumbajumba, Is there beast race support, argonian, orc, khjaiit ? Nvm, went back 5 pages n fo8und -- there is, but only for the non-horned helmet unfortunately. Still better than nothing ^^ --
I know others have stated below that conversion to SE is easy and works perfectly but Creation Kit crashes my laptop every time I try to use it. I use this armour all the time when I play LE but there is just nothing like it for SE. Is there any chance tumbajamba that you will ever give permission for a SE port? I know a number of very good modders who would happily do it and there does seem to be a lot of people interested.
Actually, you can port it yourself. I'm not a modder at all, but couple of times I ported it. Actually I replaced some armors with it (some of vanilla armors I didn't like). Check a guide or something and replace meshes. It is the hardest part. With textures - just be sure to put them the same path they are originally packaged. PS By porting I mean exactly what I've wrote above. Not posting anywhere or include in other projects. Respect disclaimer and stuff.
So, I recently decided to port this mod to SE, did all the usual (convert the ESP in CK, optimize nifs), but for some reason, the armor is invisible ingame. I suspect this is due to the mod referencing texture files in LE that use different filepaths in SE, but if that is the case, I have no idea how to fix the issue. Any ideas?
Edit: Ignore this, I fixed it myself. Turns put Merge Plugins for some reason just skipped all of the mod's meshes in the merging process, meaning the armor folder just didn't include them. Now that I know I could easily fix it and it works like a charm.
Look at my post below, this is something you can port yourself in less than 5 minutes. You basically just need to download the mod, unpack the BSA into loose files using BAE, load the mod up in Creation Kit, save it in Creation kit, and run the meshes through nif optimizer.
It will then work perfectly in SSE. I also took the time to change the value of Skaal backpack because you can print money with that thing when you craft them.
I'm going to try to port it tonight myself. If I have success doing that, I will post back here and tell everyone how I did it. For reference though, I am going to use this approach as a starting point:
So yeah, look at the link I posted in my previous post. That's a guide to porting Immersive Weapons to Skyrim Special Edition. I used this approach last night and I worked. I didn't get much time to test it, but here are pictures of the armor and the backpack being worn in game:
It took me less than 5 minutes to do this port. It will take you longer if you don't have nif Optimizer, BAE, and the SE Creation Kit installed yet. If you don't have those things, you should get them anyway because you'll be able to port most simple weapon and armor mods you want. I did Jaysus Swords last night and that was was way more complicated...and took me 10 minutes.
