For some reason those commands didn't solve my problem either. Arrows keep coming down to earth and there's no red/yellow tint. I wonder if some of the arrow mods I tried changed some .ini setting that's messing with it?
Apparently, this was fixed in the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch, making this mod mostly obsolete.
It would be nice to mention it in the description, as this mod would only be interesting for those who do not want the whole UDGP or those who are having issues with it.
It shouldn't say that unless you're trying to remove/add the spell instead of using the bat file. If that's the case then you just typed it incorrectly.
Reading the description page works wonders when it comes to installing =P
For simplicities sake, do the following:
Download either the .zip or .rar file. Open the file. Open your Skyrim directory commonly located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common Drag the aurielsbowfix.txt into your Skyrim directory. Start Skyrim. Open the console. Type "bat aurielsbowfix" in the console. Done.
It's in bat format simply for ease of use by less savvy members of the community. Feel free to update the UESP. The fact that it wasn't even listed as a bug just reinforced my belief that only 0.001% of players experience this.
Thanks a lot man! This had frustrated me since day 2 of Dawnguard! Changing the timescale screwed Auriel's bow up for me and I could never get it to work again. This is a simple fix that was the only thing that worked (you have no idea how many other things I tried). You should definitely post this to the Skyrim wiki (or I will if you want). In fact, I didn't even use your bat file, just read it and typed it in manually.
