    Hey guys,

    It's been awhile.. v3.0 is up! I added 6 new hairstyles and made some tweaks to the older hairstyles.

    If the hairs are not showing up with custom races, switch from the ESM to the ESP. The v3.0 ESP is under the optional files.

    If you're having any problems, leave a comment or send me a message.

    As always, show your support by leaving a comment and endorsing, thanks.

      Them Hairsytyles of yours are quite neat,
      is there any chance you may rerender theses to fit on a male head, though;
      also, could ya add white as possible hair color?

      Awesome stuff, great work, and so on.

      @Rohnin: Just get RaceMenu by Expired for customizable hair color (among other things). Easier than getting a modder to toss in X random hair colors, and doesn't require patching or anything like that.

      A small question for Azarkiowa, though: how did you implement the hairs? By editing the races for them, or setting them as simply "globally available" a la Vanilla Hair and Eyes Unlocked by Antares? (Apparently that mod's not on the Nexus. Coulda sworn that's where I got it from. Eh, regardless.) The reason I ask is because the former method can potentially result in compatibility issues with... well, anything that modifies the races, really.

      It sure looks great, but .esm format means it's now not choosable by Ashen race :S
      I'll just try to disable esm and work with old esp for now, it should let me use new models since they have the same names.

      EDIT: working great again with .esp from 2.3 release instead of .esm

      The point of having white hair textures is exactly for using RaceMenu mod. If the hair texture comes with a base tint then the color slider is effected by the base tint.

      I imagine jiggle bones for "hair physics" (like how Chell's hair bounces in Portal 2) but nothing too intensive like Tomb Raider 2013 hair physics, game would be too unstable to compute that many jiggle bones.

      And GameBryo engine isn't coded for true "hair physics" that would require 3rd party licensing from Nvidia or AMD.

      I would very much like to use one of your hairs in my standalone follower mod but I cannot reach you through PM. It's not letting me send?
      I would like to say I love your work. I was wondering if I could feature one of your hairs in my standalone follower mod? I will of course give you the credit and a link to your mod. I really would appreciate it thank you so much.
      Since I cannot contact you via PM or E-Mail I hope to hear from you soon or I guess I'll have to use another but I really want to use yours please. Thank you.

      Not everyone uses Racemenu. I don't because I don't like the interface, and I'm not interested in making a character that doesn't blend in with the other characters in the game. New hairstyles are about my limit on that. xD

      Hi, Any chance I could make a follower with 1 of your hairs, this would also mean the players will have to also subscribe to this mod for it to work . it dose not work with the steam version i tried ,But it should work with this. the mod wont have any of your files in it, that's why they will need this too. ?

    My Nord gal thanks you for this mod. I love the style in 5th/6th pics above. Very nice and lore friendly imho. The only problem I have is colors of the hairs seem to have changed a little bit. It was hard for me to get a real blonde color for my Nord. The best I could do was a light brown or dirty blonde. But it's not a big deal truly. Not all Nords have light hair. Other than that, I love this. Thanks again.

    To everyone asking for the SSE version-
    I just installed it manually as well as the esp version like some other comments have recommended. Used the mod manager to only activate the ESP and NOT the ESM. Works completely fine for me. No conversion required.
    I really wanted a venom snake/ geralt esque hairstyle for my dude character so I only tested it on a male. Some of the styles didn't allow white hair, but the one I wanted did so again, for me, this all worked out.

    Hello everyone,
    I am currently in the process of trying to get permission to port this over to SSE. I have sent Azar a PM and just waiting to hear back. As soon as I find out what is going on and/or get permission, I will update this message with progress and a link once the files are converted over. I may also need to get permission from NeuralStunner about the Alternate texture file that's included in the optional file section.

      how to convert the ponytail hairstyle mod? is it just with update the meshes with Ousnius Optimizer with head part checked and updated the esp to 44 in CK, is that all or there any more step to do?

      yeah, that or sse nif optimizer and any textures will need to be made into dxt5 or bc7 as well as resaving the esp in the ck. but honestly there need to be exceptions made for mods whose mod authors are no longer active or responsive, copyright has never functioned properly and at this point in time is nothing more than a clown show. if it was me i would go ahead and upload the mod until you hear back from the author and then take it down only if the person doesn't give permission to convert the mod.

      @Mlbrad,
      I totally agree with your reasoning on sort of abandoned mods but the Nexus is pretty cut and dry about it. I have already been through it with support about porting over mods from Oldrim. Its frustrating to say the least but what it comes down to is: This is their site, period. So they have rules and guidelines for a reason. I may try to message Azar again and see what happens. Hopefully it will expedite things a little. I just need to know if the original mod author plans on porting this over. Its really simple to say the least. Wish me luck.

      Not to seem shady (not sure if I'm breaking a rule by suggesting this honestly)... but perhaps you could provide SSE conversion instructions, then folks who wanted to port it to their own games could do so? I got the SSE NIF Optimizer, but I'm not a modder by trade, so I really don't know how to proceed. I've always used this mod in my Oldrim games and hate I can't use it in SSE which I just decided to get last week.

      No, so far no response. I am gonna send another message in a couple of days to Azar. If i don’t get a response within a few weeks, then i will consider it a dead subject and delete the PM all together. I am sick and tired of waiting months for an author to respond with a simple yes or no. It only takes a few moments to answer my port inquiry but whatever.

      ... crap, that sounded suspicious. In all honesty, I have no talent with modding, and I've been dying to put a version of this back in my load order. In hindsight, upgrading from Oldrim was a mistake.

      No filesharing without permission from Azar. Believe me, I would have put up a page by now if I had permission a long time ago. U know the rules. There are some good guides to converting stuff to SE here on the nexus. It involves some minor interaction with the CK and with NifOptimizer. Its a lot easier than you think.

      So after messaging Azar twice about porting this mod and seeing that Azar read my messages both times with no response, I am officially giving up. I dont care anymore. A simple yes or no would suffice but obviously its too much trouble to message back giving me permission. If anyone wants to do it on their own, there are a couple of pages on the SSE sites that tell you how to convert it on your own for personal use. Best of luck to everyone who had an interest in this from the beginning.
