I'm sorry to say. I just couldn't get ahold of MadCat221.... I went ahead and created a mod similar to this one from scratch using the creation kit for Skyrim Special edition if anyone is interested. I wanted to help him convert this mod over, but it's a no go. I've completely created a brand new mod using nothing more than vanilla assets for SSE. Here is a link to the new mod if anyone wants to use the fix for SSE.
Thank you MadCat for making me get off my backside and create my first mod. The only difference between this mod and mine is I didn't add the gloves for Aeta. She's only got a coat and boots. I'll be doing more upgrades with Aeta when I have time. Anyway, if anyone is interested just follow the link if you're using SSE.
Thank you so much! I saw her once while I was playing Skyrim on console, and I literally shouted "Girl where is your clothes?!" when I saw her. I'm not entirely sure why this wasn't in the game to begin with. Then again, there are a lot of things they haven't added to the game... like non-playable instruments in Skyrim, yet you can join the Bards College :|
Oh... I need this. Never seen her in game, but stumbling across this mod, it makes so much sense that she should be wearing this.
Edit: Looking at the esp in TES5Edit I see you use an interesting approach into adding this clothing to the game.
However there is another way that would cause 0 compatibility issues.
1) Making a new armor instead of editing the adult one will make the armor work even for people that use things that edit said armor, be it SkyRe or anything else.
2) Aeta is the only one using the outfit she is currently using, so editing that outfit instead of changing her to use another outfit would reach the same goal without editing the NPC and thus would be compatible with mods like RS Children out of the box.
*) And about ye all that want to be able to give this to your children, that'd require script editing. Should be possible to pull of using the custom script by "Additional Children Clothes" which is currently unavailable and that together with the proper esp edits. I'm not 100% how that works myself yet.
Hmmm, no children mods at all, and I recently went back to Skaal Village. She's got warm gloves! Too bad the rest of her is freezing in her underwear. Would it be because I installed Hearthfires recently? Any idea at all?
