We're at 226 endorsements and 4781 unique downloads! Amazing! Remember to ENDORSE the file if you like it, it'll be noticed better that way and more people can profit from it.
EDIT: We're at an ass-kicking 432 endorsements and rising. You guys are awesome
ALSO I've made posting pictures AVAILABLE, it would be cool if you guys posted an image of your fixed Serana there!
This sounds Just What I'm looking for, I found those eye's after she's was cured very annoying, ( vanilla version ) tracking for now will download but actiavate after I've done the main quest liine.... thanks
Very glad that you're considering using my mod! And yea, youre supposed to activate it after you cure her. (Unless you like her as a vampire with normal eyes..) be sure to comment here if there are any problems, I'm still reading the comments.
Hey, I know it's been a while, but would you be willing to upload this to Bethesda.net for the Xbox One, this is the most irritating thing to me and I love the fix you did.
Hello. So, the yellow light of the eyes of Serana depends on the mesh 00002b6c.nif that can be fix by removing Emessive Colour in NifSkope. But the blue colour of the eyes is default for Serana and that can't be changed by mesh 00002b6c.nif. So you can change the colour of the eyes in SSEEdit in dawnguard.esm, FormId - XX014C9B (xx - number of dawnguard.esm download) or EditorId - DLC1SeranaHumanEyes. You can see that eyeblue.dds is default colour, change this to necessary texture file like eyeamber.dds or eyegreen.dds and human Serana will have brown or green eyes.
I was confused at first by the 'removing Emissive Colour'. Emissive color cannot be removed, it can be changed. After looking at another NPC's head mesh file, I figured out what you mean. You just need to set the Emissive Color RGB values to 0. I use Shiva's Vanilla Hair replacer which has its won facegen file for Serana so this mod cannot be used. Changing the Emissive Color in the head mesh was the correct way to fix this. Thanks for the info.
Oh! No that makes sense! The yellowish Emessive color caused the actual blue eyes to turn slightly green. I see... I did everything you said and this conclusion can explain the weird color change upon fixing the bug.
You should be able to connect this mod to a quest stage. The Cure Serana quest will reach a certain point and at that point, the eye change takes place. Doesn’t even involve scripting.
Not sure if you'll read this, but just download it manually and drag it over to the mod manager is you use one. Otherwise download it manually and install like normal, i can also attest that it works for SE, Praise the Sun!
I've been trying to get the creation kit to work so I can get on it immediately but it won't work for some reason; can't get it to load up. If you'd like, you could download the mod, open it in the kit and port it over to Bethesda.net. I'll give you my permission as long as you credit the original mod. In general I believe mods are from the community, for the community. Though if you still insist on tipping, I can send you a pm with my paypal email. If you run into any trouble let me know, I'm sure we'll be able to come up with some sort of solution soon. Take care.
