Is there a difference to the great mod 'Book Covers Skyrim' ?

B0S was released before BCS. I worked alone on BoS while BCS was a collaborative effort. Some of BCS's covers may look nicer, but BoS is a work in progress which already includes covers for books added by Dragonborn. I'm going to continue working on improving the textures and I'm always looking for assistance in expanding the content of books.

Between the two mods, some books and recipes are renamed differently for better sorting. In BoS, the world models have been upgraded from 512 x 512 to 1024 x 1024. I didn't want to drastically change the look of the vanilla books so I improved the texture detail of the books and added other color variations along with several unique covers. I've also fixed some spelling and grammatical errors.

Nice mod but you guys may also be interested in this one if you are running at high res.

You can actually read the spines of the books in the cabinet.

Nice feature is that "Skill" Books have a star on the spine so you do not have to open every book on the shelf.

Looks good! Any chance of making book cover textures only - separate version, without the content? I quite like vanilla books... If you'd be willing to include a separate version, I will recommend your mod for STEP guide: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11

Thanks for the offer. The content of BoS doesn't really change the game from vanilla. Mostly, it's just a matter of spelling and grammatical errors plus better sorting.

I do intend to expand the content of the books at some point, adhering strictly to Elder Scrolls lore. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Ok, thanks. Is there any possibility of getting cover textures only version though? Also, why Dawnguard is a requirement - any chance of having this requirement descoped?

Dawnguard is required because BoS includes books and journals added by Dawnguard. I'll see about making an optional covers-only file, but it will have to wait until I finish the mod I'm currently working on.

Great mod! Makes me take a lot more time in Skyrim to actually read the books I find. I'm wondering, will there be a compatibility patch at some point for mods like Organized Books? To have both combined would be great

I'm already planning on updating BoS to include the same features that Organized Books offers, minus the renaming of recipes. That's a good idea.

It's just taking me time to go through every book in the game looking for spelling and grammatical errors.

This is really nice, just wish Bethesda would give the books this kind of polish.

However, could you incorporate the grammar/spelling fixes that were incorporated into the Unofficial Patches?

If you could send me a list of books with spelling/grammatical errors, I'd be happy to fix them for the next update.

Nice, Tracking these covers then !
Also, as to name, not sure it is a good idea, as any mod touching the books is likely to already make changes ?

With my work schedule, the book covers will be done in a few days. The rest of the mod will take some time. I'm looking for knowledgeable writers to help expand the content of the books.

    Oh good, unique book jackets.

Mods like this were awesome for Morrowind and Oblivion.
