Changelog> A-> Added 2 extra 4-row book shelves B-> Changed the lighting profile for the library, it should be less bright now
To upgrade from v1.0 to v1.5>> 1- If you have any followers inside the library take them and go out of the library and the house 2- Save then exit the game 3- Uninstall v1.0 then install v1.5 4- Load your save and go back to the library and hopefully everything is intact
If you encounter any issues please provide feedback and be very detailed because I'm unable to test the libraries inside game at this time..
Also it would be nice if you could take screens of how the library looks with the new lighting and bookshelves then upload them here..
2020 and this is still relevant. Nice add to Lakeview, thanks. Using with various other mods like Melrose Enhanced Lakeview Manor - Bedroom Wing (nice, but adds only closed front bookcases), Hearthfire extended, Improved HF lighting, no conflicts.
L O V E L Y -> You save me after a wrong choice (I have build a useless armory instead of a big usefull library..) but now - thanks to you - I can collect and study in good conditions.
Excuse my bad english but.. just I give you 1000000000000 thanks, really fantastic idea and FIX for the native-DLC-HT-problem. Please give to frenchs modders a way to translate and credit your excellent idea. For this time I use it for me and I am happy
You're very welcome and thank you for the feedback
As for french translation, no one has asked me to do a translation but if somebody wants to, they can message me and I will give them permission no problem.
I have Shezries Hearthfire Kitchens - Lakeview but that wasn't the problem. Do you know of any place that I can get a complete listing of every book in Skyrim + DLCs? I am currently not using the open bookshelves (just the closed ones) because every time I got a new bunch of books I've have to remove everything into inventory and place them on the shelves again.
Actually that just gave me a fantastic idea but I doubt it will ever happen since it would require some serious scripting. Access any shelf in the room, and the game automatically re-sorts your entire library when you exit. Hey, I can dream
You're not alone. I agree that that would be a fantastic idea. It makes me wish even more that I could script.
Each shelf, after being opened, resorts all of the books, even if all you did was open it up. I think the real trick would be linking each shelf together to where they, essentially, function as one container.
With the jumbled up mess that interactive bookshelves are, with multiple markers and activators linked together, I almost think it might be possible. Getting all of the shelves to communicate with one another would be a nightmare to figure out, though.
I believe the current limit on books per shelf is 18. Starting out small, if one can get 18 books to autosort between two shelves, I think there's a prayer.
I don't know but to track which books I had and which I didn't have, I used this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10012/? it makes any book you haven't read glow, if it glows then you never opened it which tells me I didn't have the book in my collection. It's a great must have mod to any book collector in this game
That's a great idea but I don't know much about scripting and I don't use scripts in my mods, I like to keep them clean from causing any issues for people who decide to uninstall them mid-play because I personally have been bitten by that issue more than enough times, had to start new replays so many times since scripts tend to be stuck in save files and ruin everything.
@Jumbo Setting up these bookshelves as they are took forever to do because apparently the game hates certain angles and activators don't work in them, facing this way makes it useless, facing that way makes it work, it was so frustrating to setup it up.. which is why I resorted to using bookcases in some areas of the library ..
I use that one and some other mods to add books and make them look better, and not so bright, and open faster, etc. The only thing left is the whole sorting thing. I could easily use a library 3x this size, with all operating bookshelves so I could put all the Wolf Queen books on a shelf with nothing else, all the Berenziah on another, all the little journals on their own shelf, all the spellbooks and spare skillbooks fully sorted by magic school, all the little notes and papers in some sort of letter slot filing system...I can go on forever. I wish I had even the slightest ability to mod but the most I can do is write batch files to run from the command console.
Lately I've been going with a policy of using only cleaned (with TES5Edit) mods, is it safe to do this with these libraries? I only have Guard Dialogue Overhaul that has ITMs because they are required for the mod to work properly.
There are some, I have something that gives me more cellar rooms off to the side of the original (Hearthfires DLC) cellar. I think it's Hearthfire Extended, but not sure (I have over 200 mods running atm).
I just tested it and they installed fine, if you decide to install all 3 of them, NMM will ask if you want to upgrade say no, it will ask to overwrite the scroll8.nif you can say yes or no, all 3 versions of the mod will use this file whether it was the one that was packaged with it's esp or the 2 others that come with the other 2 esps.
So when installing more than 1 library, you can either hit No followed by another No or No followed by a Yes.
Hey, I've used this before (older version) and endorsed, and getting back into Skyrim after some time away. Just built Lakeview with the "small house" converted to an "entrance hall", and activated the H.A.L. for Lakeview, and the back right floor panel is just...not there. If I walk over it, I fall through and get teleported back to the spawn point for the library.
Yes, I made a new Bashed Patch after installing/activating.
Going to test some more, will post whatever happens.
All fixed (I hope) - had to re-run BOSS and then manually rearrange a few items in my load order, then make yet another Bashed Patch with a bit more tweaking than I usually do.
Welcome back, I recently came back after a 1 year break to do little touch ups to some of my mods
As for the mod, I never encountered this issue before, usually after installing it, everything was straight forward, do you have any other mod that modifies hearthfire homes/features ?

I get the hint but I'm probably not going to make any new mods any time soon, don't have as much free time now as I used to when I made my mods.
Regardless... endorsed
