I was downloading "Deadly Traps and Sickly Diseases" and got drawn to this mod as well, but your link on that page just leads back to Deadly Traps. I had to go to your profile page and look up this mod from there. Not a huge deal but I thought you might like to know. Thanks for making awesome mods.
Wouldn't it be cool with a DayZ like approach to food and health? like if you don't eat for a given time, you'll start losing health? Your regeneration of migicka would be slower and max attainable magicka decreased, the same for stamina... THAT would be awesome...
Now save it into the Skyrim folder. (For example, //c;/program(86x)/Skyrim(or "The Elder Scrolls V or whatever you named it).
Now load up your afflicted save file. Type into the console "bat originalregen" Now it should be fine. I'm using my archmage robes and used player.getav magickaratemult to check it, and it came back as 200, instead of the standard 100.
Every time Skyrim starts up, it will run this file automatically, so you don't have to do use the console command every time.
I think that got it.
Please reply if you have any issues, I'll try my best to those who need help.
Had the same issue of low regen after uninstall. Default vanilla values are not really "percentages", per se, but have a value of 100.
In any case, I uninstalled the mod, set regen.txt values to 100, loaded current savegame, did a "bat regen" in the console and tried equipping various robes/items which affected regen rates. I used "player.getav" commands to check on magicka and health regen rates and they worked fine. A destruction robe with 50% regen rate increase showed magickaratemult=150.
Didn't test stamina and don't have the perks, but items seem to work fine. Note that the original regen.txt does not restore default timescale, either.
setting player.forceav magickaratemult 1 and putting on a 75% magicaregen robe makes a huge difference so setting player.forceav magickaratemult 100 as far as i am concerened fixes the problem s described
OK, l loaded a save, took off all my equipment, saved, reloaded, tried these codes at 100, saved, reloaded, put my equipment back on and it appears to have reverted to normal; at least I am regenerating faster than when uninstalling this mod according to the modder's instructions.
But I'm not entirely sure whether the effects of equipment like Master Robes of Destruction etc, the Atronach Stone and Perks like Recovery I and II are correctly calculated. I'll have to try another Stone and then go back to the Atronach. Maybe I'll have to remove any perks, save and then add them again?
I was very tired when I wrote my last post and I realise now that the guy I was quoting must have been talking about saved game files being forever screwed, not a new character after a fresh install.
But what about new characters with an old install where this mod has been used on a different character?
Modders really have to be careful about how they use console commands because they can really screw things up and this would be a great mod otherwise. It appears that the player.forceav xxxxmult is not a binary on/off, it's a percentage, so his batch files resets regeneration to 1% when uninstalling?
I think the command also affects base rate, so items, Stones and perks should be superimposed later. The best way to use this then would be with a new and naked character?
I personally agree that regeneration is too fast in the vanilla game. I think it should be something like:
Stamina 30% Health 1% Magicka 10%
For those of us used to the AD& system, you should only heal from magick, potions and lengthy bedrest, healing up with spells every 8 hours of rest then resting again. But Skyrim is a different system and this mod didn't work like I was hoping.
But how do you restore spell, item and perk effects?
I tried this mod but the batch file to reset doesn't work and I doubt the above will work. Those codes should never have been in a mod, especially with no warning of permanent bad effects. The wiki WARNS NOT TO USE them BECAUSE they will override everything, including magick items, spells and PERKS that affect Health, Magicka and Stamina regeneration. So if your next character is a Master of Restoration, he's STUFFED.
And diamental says they will not default even after re-installing the game? WTF?
WTF!!??
So an earlier save from before using this piece of crap will not work, either? Skyrim is messed up for all time?!? Surely not? How could someone be so irresponsible? I will unendorse and mark it as a virus if the mod author cannot fix this by the end of the week.

can sommeon help me ar say what i need to do
Create a .txt file and name it originalregen for ease of access.
Copy and paste these three lines into it.
player.modav healratemult 100
player.modav staminaratemult 100
player.modav magickaratemult 100
Now save it into the Skyrim folder. (For example, //c;/program(86x)/Skyrim(or "The Elder Scrolls V or whatever you named it).
Now load up your afflicted save file.
Type into the console "bat originalregen"
