I have personally stopped playing the game (since last april/may (2012) my personal Skyrim copy does not even work anymore as I had way over 120 mods installed at once and when i tried it again a few months ago textures were missing and the game kept crashing... since everything was outdated and there had been at least 5 big official patchs and dlc...
Someone (Dec2013) just wrote it was still working if you put the file manually in the data folder...
As for making any changes, I do not even own the source files... I took the mod from Shittakaburi (with permission), and only changed 2 values in hex edit to make this one... I have absolutely NO idea how he even made that file to begin with... so unfortunately there is nothing that I could do to really change how it behave...

The script is replaced by other mods like "ARS Metallica" or the unofficial patches. If you use something like that, install this mod after them. When using ModOrganizer, you can also check for any other conflicts there.
Other than that, the scripts here still work just fine (as long as nothing overwrites it).
We have found the cause of the report that this mod does not work The mod still does not apply to mining sites that have been visited so far when installed in the middle of the process. In that case, it should be applied when the ore is respown. Or it will be applied at the first mining site you visit. In the field, it is not applied yet, so you should only be able to mine vanilla amounts.

Be warned! If you use this mod, you can only get one soul gem per geode in Blackreach. There is similar mod to this one (75158) that also has the same issue...
This mode works at least work for me ! I played 2 hours and I was in halt stream camp ( whatever is it name ) , its near whiterun ! There are plenty iron ore , and I can say this mod works ! Today is day 10.11.2017. Time : 00:04 Oh and I install it through Mod Manager !

not sure why it is not working out for you... this mod is a single file and has not changed in many years... in face, i have no idea in what language it is even made or how it is working... i only took the mod (with permission) then changed 2 values for number of hit and quantity of ore in hexadecimals...
have you made sure to get a "new" node from somewhere your character has never been before?
15 march 2016 tested and approved, it's not as cheaty as the other mods and doesn't have the problems of indefinite mining mods with a test save lv80 embershard mine (the 1st you find in the game) gave me : 36 iron ore 1 diamond 1 flawless emerald

however as stated many placed, it needs NEW veins generation... so if you EVER were in the area where you mined, it wont work... well unless you passed 20 in game days before going back...
if you go into a new area you NEVER went before (or start a new game) then it will work
I use this with Requiem and it seems like it only works on newly generated ore veins. So if you have been near an ore vein near riverwood for example, it wont work, but it works if you visit a cave for the first time with this mod
the scripts that govern ore generation occur when the vein has been first created (when you first load them) or when they reset (the world of skyrim veins are set to reset every 30 skyrim days and ore deposits within a structure like a mine reset every 10 days). you will have to wait if you are installing the mod to use in a save file where you have already loaded some ore veins. although appearently this mod is broken...
Why do you say that? Works exactly as it should as far as I know.
I feel the script is a bit wonky sometimes, where it may or may not respond directly and you get infinite mining loops with or without items being shown as obtained. (this happened in vanilla as well, but I don't know if the mod exacerbates the issue or if the vanilla problem was fixed)
With that being said, once the scripts catch up/you mine a vein that isn't broken/you enter a separate instance (I.E. Shimmermist caverns > Skyrim, Skyrim > Winterhold, etc. Anywhere works) you get all the stuff you would have gotten at that time. I wouldn't say that is ideal, it's far from perfect, but the mod works just fine in my experience.
The only drawback is what you said; pregenerated ore veins do not register with the script unless they are "reset" through time passing. But that is a Skyrim thing and not necessarily the mod. Perhaps there's a better implementation out there, but the script is fine.
I'd be pissed if someone stole this mod because "the author has abandoned it" without trying to: - Attempt to contact them - Figure out a better alternative (and prove that there IS NONE before touching this) - Figure out *any* alternative (^) - Providing a slew of extra resources and utility to the mod itself, which is doubtful seeing as this is a script and not a large change otherwise capable of being included in another mod in a significant way, really.
Again, the mod works fine. It works when installed with Nexus Mod Manager. There is nothing wrong with it as far as I can tell, works 100% of the time.
