So far if you have issues and your starting on a non-new character or upgrading from an older version, can you try a new game (this is essential: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8207// or any equivalent mod) and see if the problem persists. Skyrim's scripting whatnots are weird.
first of all... thank you for doing this... second... npc's tend to wear only vanillia armor and after battleling hordes of female dipsticks i have yet to discover even 1 piece... i dont know if thats just bad luck or something else i do have a butt load of mods installed but most do not effect npc's just the meshes and textures any thing that might help is apreciated, thank you in advance
Made a quick sticky but if you can try a new game and make sure it works fresh out that'll tell me if its an issue with just your game or something deeper is wrong. Console traveling to the bannered mare will usually do fine. Type 'coc WhiterunBanneredMare' into the console and check the chick in steel plate.
Also, you have Nightasy's mod installed right? Try checking their inventories as well. Click on the NPC while in the console and type 'showinventory' that should allow you to see if they have the pieces.
Also it should only work on the armor sets I have listed, so if no one has those it will not do anything.
i tried the lady in the bannered mare... vanillia i tried a new save and killed the bandits in the mine... vanillia this is wierd because nightasy's mod works fine and the armor rating/ weight you added works perfect it may be i installed this mod wrong because it was the first i did manually
it is not a disaster npc's don't wear the pieces but it just is too unique for me if only the dragonborn and followers can wear this stuff ... does that make sense?
anyway i tried what you said, didn't work... dovahkiin sad
Hi, the only problem i found do far is that the armor change in NPcs take place while im close and some of the time they appear naked instead. I see the armor change in front row. I really like this mod and if you could solve this it would be great. Other than that, I love it. Cheers!
Miss Stonearm at the Companions only wears a helmet, that is the only case of permanent nudity that I have. Is there a trick or a console command that could help? Maybe to reset her inventory so that the script can do her again?

I was wondering if you were planning on continuing this mod with the rest of the armors (it's a long shot after a two years stall, I know, but I just found out about your mod, and had to ask anyway. Also, balancing is already done, so it would be a shame to let that go to waste).
If not, could you please give some indications on how did you do it? It is probably possible to retrace your steps to figure it out, but I feel like I would miss something critical and just make an useless mess.
any chance you can make your mod dependencie with UNPetite - Hmm What To Wear.esm or can I just change the master in TES5 Edit? (I havent looked your mod in CK to see if its possible just by changing the masters myself)
I'm having an issue with this and it's not a major problem, just a slight annoyance to the eyes. The armor masking doesn't want to equip on any of the NPCs that wear these so there chest clips out of the armor. I'm not for sure if this is a conflict error but any tips would be appreciated to solving it.
Sounds like you use a different body than the UNP Base body. I suppose I could add the armor masking to NPCs which would solve the issue, but I just use the body as my default so it hasn't been an issue for me. I'll see about adding that line of code in, shouldn't be too difficult. Unless you have no vanilla body slot armor and an upper chest piece with either a skirt or panties, its going to clip with your character though too.
I was thinking that might be it but I wasn't for sure. I didn't know if the masks should have been loading but weren't or they weren't meant to load and it was just the clipping of the body. I would really appreciate it.
I think it sounds like a master issue, are you using the SkyRe or vanilla version? Vanilla should only require HWtW and Skyrim, SkyRe will require SkyRe - Main I think. I'll check back again after I get out of work.
Edit: Looks like the DLC's are on there too. The vanilla version shouldn't need those, I'll fix it after I return from work.
Edit2: Reuploaded the files with fixed master dependencies. Properly arrange those for the SkyRe version and removed DLC dependence for vanilla version.

The Armor Mask should equip if you have an upper chest piece and either pants/panties/skirt equipped. This is so that you won't count as naked to NPCs and they won't keep commenting as such. Are you equipping those types of pieces on top of the dragon scale?
Not much I can do to prevent the player from equipping pieces over regular armor. Personally I like to have the option to do so if it makes sense and there is no clipping. Maybe I'll add a condition to check if the player already has a regular armor equipped before equipping the mask.
No, there is only regular dragonscale armor equipped on me! I have no item Armor Mask at all I equip armor, then close equipment page and after second armour became uneqippped (graphic of armour changed too) and message "Armor Mask equipped" appears in left upper corner
Aye, I'll add in that line of code. What mod are those items from? I'll take a look and see if they use the same armor slots. Also, if you have a chance before me, you may try removing those items and see if the same issue occurs.
Updated with modified code that should hopefully fix that issue. Haven't looked at that other mod yet.
Edit: Took a look, yep they use the same body slots. The khajiit ear take the same as the skirt and the tails the upper body. The other 3 ears looks fine.
It seems mod not work at all. When I enter city I can see clothes on people randomly changes two or three times, but in the end (after sercond or second and half) they always wear their default outfit. Also after this city lagging heavily.
Alright a question. Does this happen for all female NPCs or just those who are supposed to have the modified armors?
I went in on a fresh game with the vanilla file and tested in whiterun, it seemed to work, may be an issue with the re-equiping bit. I'll have to look further into that.
There is about 50 mods installed in my game, may be some of them a little incompatible...
With mods like "Populated Cities" and "Adventurers and Travelers" I have very populated whiterun, upon arrival here I can see about 15 people at once and I don't know, who supposed to have modifyed outfit and who not
BTW it would be good if npc from above mentioned mods also be affected by this mod
Some mods I think suspicious: "Run For Your Lives", "Sexy Villages and Towns", "Amazing Follower Tweaks"
Also there is very fun mod "Bathing Beauties or Beefcake - Luxury Suite" - it would be good if its inhabitants were not affected by this mod
Any and every female with the vanilla armor outfit for iron, leather, bandit, steel, etc should be affected no matter from whence they came. Not sure why anything would be incompatible with the scripts and functionality of this mod unless they have their own set of scripts counteracting it for some odd reason.
Or, Skyrim can be a bit strange when it comes to scripts and changing them mid game. Can you try starting a new game (I recommend this if you don't already have: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8207//?) and coc'ing to whiterun to see what happens.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a backup so I'll have to ditch my character.
I'm not complainig, I knew the risks, I just wanted to leave a warning to anyone interested in experimenting with these mods.
UNP - Hmm What To Wear installed and works perfectly
I use "UNP BASE Skinny body V1dot2" + "1dot51body textures" shaved version
Game - last version, without this mod works fine

I think your idea "if the player already has a regular armor equipped before equipping the mask" is right thing, it will fix this issue

Alright, let me test these files myself and make sure something didn't get messed up in the editting down of my original file.
