So, what is the magic for getting these meshes to work in the snow?  I have them working btw with BDS and a fix patch.  All the rocks in the snowy sections look good.  I like it so much, that I went to fix a mesh problem with Blended Roads, really blended edition.  The road looks great, but the bridges don't have parallax. I got a parallax bridges mod, and the bridges parallax, but cause snowy roads to lose their textures.  I thought, no worries, I can edit the mesh from Blended Roads.  I did that and it looks glorious, and the roads in Dawnstar are still there.  Only issue is the bridge south of Windhelm.  It is bridge01.nif I believe and is a copy of the one by the farms near Whiterun, which look gorgeous BTW, fully parallaxed now. The Windhelm bridge is totally white, and I know that has to do with the dynamic snow. I loaded up a random rock and saw that it had alpha vertex enabled, and figured that might fix the snow problem, but no.  So what is the secret sauce for making parallax work in the snow, because that is the only bridge I need to fix and all the bridges will be parallaxed, and I might drop those meshes into a small mod as a Blended Roads parallax bridges patch.  Thanks for any advice you can give.

i want to try this mod but the reason i am NOT installing it is because , for some reason i can't understand, you wont allow a NMM installation just because you wanted to include a readme file, which is unnecessary since all info exists on the nexus.

because there is no NMM installation it means that there is no NMM UNinstallation, so if this mod is conflicting with anything or if i ever want to remove it i will have to go through all the folders and remove the desired files carefully. too much of a headache for a reason i cant fathom.

just get rid of the TXT file and make the file NMM friendly. i cant see why this has to be such a potential headache.

thanks for all the hard work, regardless. i can only assume the mod looks nice in gameplay

    Hi pannonian,

Thanks for this nice mesh modification, it makes the rocks become a lot more realistic - if one can fully implement its intended effect.
I just want to point out that you have the textures in the wrong path in your archive (v0.90 and 0.85), all your textures (including the all-important parallax textures) are in the folder "textures\mountains" when they should be in "textures\landscape\mountains" - as defined in your mesh texture paths.

This is the reason why a lot of people can't see your intended effect and probably the meshes calling for the "misplaced" parallax textures are causing CTDs for some people as well. I hope you're still around to fix this.

To anyone who might read this and want to fix the issue on his own, all you have to do is install the mod manually and move the textures from "textures\mountains" to "textures\landscape\mountains" (you may choose not to overwrite if you have a custom rock texture installed).

Downloading and tracking. Any addition to Parallax mapped objects is a huge help to those who can afford the visuals.

It's unreal how much better everything looks with parallax turned on. Whenever I'm in whiterun I stand pressed against the walls just so I can see the effect. Thank you for your hard work!

narphous - I can't find those rocks you mentioned. Maybe if you make a screenshot? I found some strange looking stuff, but that's due to textures overstretched on the models and it's on a not-so obvious place in Soltitude.

    narphous -
I'll look into it. I wonder if it's one of the "unique" rocks in the game, since I haven't seen any other rocks doing anything crazy, and they use the same rocks all over the place.
And yeah, disregard my comment about ENB and RLO..I was thinking of another mod, that modified all sorts of models for the lighting effect to work.
