   I think The original colors were fine, they were washed out and drab for a reason.

   I think these are the colours you should be putting in to these holds (IMPORTANT)
   
   Whiterun : White (and a little brown)
   
   Riften : Red/yellow
   
   Winterhold : Greenish grey
   
   Markarth : Gold (with a little green)
   
   Change them when you can. It'll make your mod a lot more lore-friendly, and a lot more fitting with its surroundings

   But... may i suggest you Markart to be grey?
   
   Since Silver is a great resource would be more fitting... just sayin'
