More constructive criticism for the new modder... If you are doing weapons it really is a good idea to learn to do new models too. Blender or 3DS Max (student license is free) both are easily supported for .nif files. plus there are plenty of tutorials on how to use either one. You could start out by modifying a vanilla weapon and eventualy learn to make all new. All new is always better than old with a new skin even if the new is a variation of an old like making a dagger a short sword.
Last bit of advice... Remember to make mods because you want to improve your game and enjoy doing it. If you share then share so others who enjoy the game the same way as you may have a more enriched experiance, not for fame or endorsements or kudos. those are just icing on the cake that is knowing what you gave someone made them happy. Follow that and modding will always remain a fun hobby, its just the game you mod for that gets boring lol.
Happy modding to you, and hope you dont get too addicted to it lol!
I am indeed New to modding, and thank you. Learning scripting is defiantly on my to-do list, as is figuruing out texture creation, as I already have some skill with Photoshop.
So, I took a look at your mod in the CreationKit because the lack of pictures made me a bit hesitant to install your mod. Well, it seems pretty simple in construct. The mod just gives a handful of pre-enchanted Daedric Daggers and Swords, and a Silver Sword. I'm going to take a leap here and assume that you are new to modding. So, on behalf of the community, thank you for making that decision to learn to mod. However, while I am glad that you took that step towards greatness, I can only suggest that if you are interested in making mods related to weapon enchantments, learn to use Papyrus scripting. It can really spice up enchantments' effects and visuals. As I am relatively new to modding (though just a tad more experienced), there's not much more I can tell you other than that. Happy modding, m8!
