The fact that you can't sell it to a merchant because none of them will have the money got me thinking ...
... what if you were to introduce a "fence" in a different mod, who would have no money, BUT he could sell off items you give to him. The player wouldn't get money instantly, but depending on how expensive the items are, he would give you your money in a number of days (or weeks if you would want to sell off something as expensive as Wabbajack), when he sold them off.
After all, it would be only logical - and immersive -, that there is a black market for artifacts.
Very good mod addition. Just 3 questions about this mod/future mod possibilities:
1. Where are the rest of the Daedric Lord weapons such as Auriels Bow, Black Star, the Nightinggale Armor, etc.
2. As the other post said about the masks and how they aren't worth nearly what they should be worth.
3. The value of the weapons dropped immensely from Morrowind to Skyrim, but so did the abilities. Is it possible to make another mod to add the old abilities to these supposed to be God weapons?
What about the dragon priest masks? Those, and the artifacts, could be put in a "museum" in solitude, which would pay by giving you revenue generated by a random number from 100 to 1000. Every week when you have to check back with him, it will be marked in your journal as 'meet with _____'
I really, really like this. It makes a lot of sense that unique and powerful ARTIFACTS OF GODS should be, you know, not something you can just pawn off for a few gold somewhere. <.<
The Wabbajack didn't exist in Morrowind, so I priced it the same as the Spear of Bitter Mercy given by Sheogorath. Sanguine Rose didn't actually have a value, so I estimated.
Also, I will be releasing another mod of mine that will make all essential NPCs that have regular interaction only able to be killed (fully) by the player, and it will display the old Morrowind warning message after their death, allowing you to still play, but warning you that the story might be broken. Expect that one tonight :3
good thinking, but i think that sanguine rose is more than you have put it. it summons a dremora from oblivion. wabbajack is too much. i never used it. but sanguine rose was a big help over the levels
Well, looking back on Morrowind, no merchant had enough gold to buy one of these weapons from you for full price. They are basically priceless.
Such rarities in life can't be sold for what they're worth because they are simply worth too much. The numbers weren't really changed for functionality, but for true depth and realism into the world of TES.
But yeah, I completely do see how something over 5000 gold is not really relevant to a normal sale in Skyrim, but it's for the realism. Bethesda managed to cutt most realistic values out of Skyrim, making most things of value actually way undervalue. This is my attempt to return it back to the way it was in Morrowind, which was much more realistic.
