If you submit a report, please explain the issue as carefully as possible, and provide exact steps required - preferably from the start of a new game - to reliably reproduce the issue. If I'm unable to reproduce the problem, it's less likely that I will be able to help solve it.
ALL OF MY MODS are dedicated to the PUBLIC DOMAIN. This means that NO PERMISSION IS NECESSARY to reproduce them all or in part in any way you wish. Keep in mind that some mods that include content by other authors may or may not require their permission. Also consider that uploading new versions of any mod will probably imbue you with plenty of support requests from the community, and handling them can be a large responsibility.
My activity as a Skyrim mod author has decreased greatly over the months and years, and it is unlikely that new features will be added to any of them, so if you are interested in officially taking over authorship of this or any of my projects, feel free to contact me.
I loved this in Oldrim and now I'm looking for an SSE port of the 3rd version (Bards Play Only On Request.) Does anybody know of one? Has anybody tried to just run the Oldrim version in SSE?

Since it seems like this mod will never be updated to include the USLEEP changes, I added the changes to the instrumental+songs version and recompiled it. It is the first time I have worked with Papyrus scripts but believe I have made the right changes, just copying across the lines added by USLEEP. I probably am not allowed to upload it on Nexus, so am provided a third party link for anyone who doesn't want the hassle of working with scripts.

Yess, the USLEEP-updated version of this mod saved me from bards goin bonkers - before they started a song, stopped after couple of seconds, started a new one and also didn't properly react to requests at all. What a relief!!!!
I was literally just about to go on a bard genocide spree through Skyrim, then I had the sense to check for a mod to fix them. My original plan would likely be more fun, but I might break a few quests, and I like the instrumentals well enough, so thank you for that option. Endorsed for a victory for good taste.
Guys, this might be a dumb question but what is the plugin name? I'm trying to test it by putting at the top or the bottom of my load order because it's not actually working.. But I can't seem to find out the name of it.
It has no plugin, just a single script in /data/scripts/ folder. If you are not sure about the file name why not just simply open your downloaded archive and look for it?
This seems to be almost exactly what I was looking for. However, I think you could still add one more random layer: tha the bards at are only there on random days :-))
