with the recent release of archery gameplay overhaul this becomes ridiculously op, and hilarious as a result. So i went and installed difficulty spikers to boost the difficulty.
Awesome,it becomes OP with Faster Arrows... i sniped some bandits in a fort from a mountain at legendary difficulty and 1shotted every single one (at lvl 18 and with very low archery skill, think it was 30ish).
I'm with the others here. This would make a great enchantment so it effects all your arrows as opposed to having to reapply the poison. Still, cool idea. Makes skilled long-distance shots feel more rewarding.
Together with Guess the distance you can take some really awesome shots The thing that I would like to have added are that you can make the potion yourself and maybe an Enchantment... but its already awesome!
