After much experimenting, I have found the remedy to this wretched mod... Download this bug fixing mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/78557/ Its called Continue Game No crash. It helped me in my time of need. SHAME ON THE MOD AUTHOR FOR DELIVERING AN UNFINISHED, GAME BREAKING PIECE OF GARBAGE. SHAME ON YOU.
You have absolutely ruined my Whiterun and now I am going to try to get this buggy, broken, unproperly set-up hunk of lazy file editing off of this website so that no one shares the same fate as myself! Consider your "mods" days on this website numbered friend.
FYI, this mod has been uploaded to Bethesda.net for Xbox One (https://mods.bethesda.net/#en/workshop/skyrim/mod-detail/3222654) as part of a compilation by Lexignis (https://community.bethesda.net/people/Lexignis). Just thought you might want to know.
I would love to endorse this mod, because the visuals are absolutely lovely and it feels very Christmasy. However, I will not endorse it, sadly, because of the issues it gave me.
After installing, the initial first test was breathtaking. Whiterun felt very much ready for Christmas, and the first few saves were great. The downside came, however, when I simply wanted to disable it out of my mod menu. I wanted to activate it closer to Christmas and get the full feel then and enjoy it. But when I went back into my game, the snow and some of the textures were still there, and, I couldn't enter any buildings. As it turns out, I couldn't save either, as my game would crash each time. So, I turned the mod back on, but I still couldn't save it. So I had to uninstall it -which is very hard and annoying for someone who uses manual installation... and it still wouldn't save. In the end I had to load up an earlier autosave as the main game file had been corrupted.
I love this mod and would love to use it but, I don't need Christmas year round in skyrim.. I just need it for holidays. If you can fix the issues with the textures still being therewhen you turn the mod off (as I assume its what lead to my broken game not being able to save) that would be great. I would like to control when I have it up and when I don't.
UPDATE: After thinking I had it fixed, I went back to play and I can no longer go into buildings without a CTD, as well as other mods that were fine priorly are now screwing up. And when I attempted a system restore, it stated that part of the drive is corrupted. I'm not directly blaming the mod, however, everything was perfectly fine before I downloaded it this morning.
I'll blame the mod for it. After reading several complaints, I've come to the conclusion that installing this was a mistake and the author either needs to take it down, or fix it. I'm not having my game turned to crap because someone couldn't program a mod correctly.

Patch does not change the weapon plugin (peppermint shield still missing from original file).
Hoping to hear back from sargentcrunch.
Just to let you know.
c:\program files (x86)\the elder scrolls v skyrim\data\textures\clutter\snowman\snowman.dds
Should be
textures\clutter\snowman\snowman.dds
To make it also work for people with Skyrim installed in a different folder.
