This mod is no longer supported by me. Modding Bethesda games was fun, but I have moved on. I won't update any of my mods. However, any mod author may use my mods in any way they want, be it further updates or new mods based on them, compilations or whatever you can think of. No permission needed, just give credit please. Thanks to Beth for the great games, and a big thanks to those who downloaded and endorsed, and an extra thanks to those who tested and provided feedback. See you soon on Fallout 4 Nexus
Months later and this is still hands down one of my favorite mods. Much like Frostfall, I consider it almost a necessity for me to play or enjoy Skyrim now. Also: the mod should be played alongside Dragten's "Bandolier - Bags and Pouches", as the fortify carry effect of the items in that mod interact perfectly with the weight algorithm in this one. Bags and bandolier items essentially become a stacking equipment slot whose purpose is to increase movement speed and jump height.
As you level (or strap on a dozen belts/bandoliers/backpacks/carry enchants) you essentially go from leadfoot to Sonic. The difference in speed and jump height becomes noticeable pretty early on, and when you're bounding from hilltop to hilltop while mooks and dragons scramble sluggishly all around you -- it's a hell of a thing. But the other side of coin is that low stamina = molasses movement, forcing you to pay attention to your stamina during a fight (and weight during post-fight looting sessions). It's very easy to get caught in a death spiral where you're out of stamina, can't escape to heal, can't heal to recover stamina...and then a bunch of bandits hack you to pieces. The real Dark Skyrimsouls begins here.
The only real downside is that Skyrim is clearly not made for this kind of high-speed movement. Once your stamina/enchants start cranking up the throttle, it's best to keep a finger on the caps key, toggling walk as you go in and out of interiors or engage in close fights. On the other hand: Skyrim is OVERWHELMBED by this kind of movement, and the result is that, at higher levels, the player starts to feel pretty damn heroic. You'll find yourself jumping onto rooftops to get a swing at a passing dragon, and wondering how you ever slugged it out on the ground.
Now if only someone would introduce a mod that let you attack while jumping and falling...
EDIT: Oh! I will say this: beyond a certain threshold, this mod renders horses obsolete. I bought a horse, then laughed when I realized I'd been running faster than the horse for hours now. Got off and never saw the beast again. I travel by foot (/air) exclusively now.
Does this, by chance, apply to horses too? It'd be nice to train them, but mostly their default jump height sucks. I want to get this, but I use your other mod for my retarded horses. *rolls one off a cliff* You jump like a fat corgi! DX

maybe you could pass this onto someone else but its one idea
@Aemil1: If you read my last comment, you should know that I will expand on it. Just give me good ideas and I'll see what I can do.
