About this mod

Replaces Dragonhide. Dragonflesh casts one-handed and lasts 60 seconds, just like the other flesh spells.

Permissions and credits
[There will be no SE port of this mod. Read here for more information]

Now available for Skyrim SE!

Dragonflesh replaces Dragonhide as the spell taught by the skillbook given to you by Tolfdir when completing the Alteration Ritual Spell quest. It casts with one hand like the other flesh spells and it lasts for 60 seconds (or 90 seconds with the Stability perk).

New in version 2.0:

  • Dragonflesh no longer gives you a damage reduction percentage the way Dragonhide does. The game inaccurately reports you as having 0 armor rating when Dragonhide is active. To prevent that confusion, Dragonflesh gives you a straight 1500-point bump to your armor rating, which should be more than enough even if another mod increases the maximum limit of player resistances.
  • Each rank of the Mage Armor perk adds 10% magic resistance while the spell is active, so now you haven't wasted three perk points while you were leveling up your Alteration skill.

***COMPATIBILITY***

Should be compatible with pretty much anything. Any other mod editing the Spell Tome: Dragonhide will not be compatible.

***INSTALLATION***

If installing on a saved character that has not completed the Alteration Ritual Spell quest, all you need to do is activate the plugin.

If your character has already completed the quest, received the Dragonhide book and used it to learn the Dragonhide spell, you will need to add the new Dragonflesh spell manually with the console. Open the console (using the tilde key ~ ) and type HELP DRAGONFLESH 4. The RefID of the spell should be listed like so:
SPEL: (xx000d64) 'Dragonflesh'

The first two characters will be randomized. Give yourself the spell using that RefID: PLAYER.ADDSPELL xx000d64

Refer to the screenshot attached to the mod. The spell will now be listed in your spell book under Alteration.

If you were using version 1.0, you can safely just update without making a clean save or doing anything special. The spell will now have the new effects.

***Known Issue***

The magic resistance increase will not be visible in your magic effects, but it is applied to your character. I did this to keep it from overwhelming the HUD for SkyUI users.
