While I am not trying to put anyone off, these meshes are so dense they wouldn't look out of place in a big-name animation film. They are certainly not for game use and will definitely cause performance issues if you place or drop a medium to high number of these. There is also another problem where the normal maps are not enabled, so you won't see any of the fine 'bump' details.
To be fair, I don't think they're supposed to be seen in large quantities anywhere in the game. I took a couple of the more arboreal fruits (plums, pears, pumpkin etc) from the Google Food mod which uses these models, and implemented in my game. Pretty much only used as foods and in baking, and I'll see 5-10 of them in my inventory max, and none in the world (who'd drop 20+ melons in the worldspace anyway).
But suggestions to improve meshes and textures are of course always welcome, you can just hope the author notices it.
Yes CACO does use around 5 of these models edited by myself to reduce poly count considerably. The best part is they look virtually the same as these. One of the pumpkins in this resource for example, is 12 times the polygons of my edited one and the difference is very hard to spot. That is how it's meant to be.
You'd be surprised how people play. I usually just throw a tonne of crap on the floor in a corner or stack it up. My cigarette carton tower was pretty fun to build in Fallout 3. I think I had a giant pile of pre-war money too.
I'm definitely not very well-versed in modelling, but if you could direct me to how I could better optimize these meshes for use in my Fruits and Vegetables mod I would be very appreciative. Someone designed improved textures for me to implement, and having optimized textures would really tie everything together. Thanks!
I'm getting this mod for the sole purpose of dropping multiple watermelons in the world space and dancing around them with an argonian I made. Because I'm weird like that. I got a 1070 so I think I'll be fine so long as I do it inside.
Is anyone else missing the cucumber textures?I will try re-downloading. These are so beautiful! I wish there was a whole apple, this half apple is so much better than the vanilla!
** Edit - okay, my download was def missing some things, I noticed in the images whole apples/bacon/sausage - my download did not have these, so redownloading.
*** Edit again - I had a faulty download before, just redownloaded it and the missing meshes and textures are there! Woo Hoo!

I know CACO uses a large amount of these though.
