I'm planning on a new version of this mod, hopefully this summer, to take advantage of some of the stuff that dragonborn added. Open Lock should be possible and probably would be put in an optional version for people to use if they want. Mark/Recall and other teleporting spells should probably be left to people who really have scripting down, in other words not me at least not right now. Also, AlynV and anyone else who uses this mod, have any errors popped up? It's been a while since there's been a new version and I was wondering if everything still worked.

If you're still taking requests/planning updates, the Open Lock spells would be a welcome addition, as well as Mark/Recall and/or Divine Intervention.
Right now I'm using quite a few mods that add these & many of the ones your mod covers individually, it would be great to have them all in a single mod to avoid conflicts.

Spell absorption has traditionally fallen into the mysticism school, which doesn't exist anymore so I put it back in restoration where it was in daggerfall. Fortify health, magic, and stamina would totally be possible, but would people use it? Even with a fairly good duration it just seems like something that I'd personally forget to use. Maybe like 2 minute durations but fairly good increases, like +100 to health/stamina, so they could be used before difficult fights. Somehow it doesn't feel right to have a magic spell that makes you better at magic, so I'd probably stick to buffing stamina or health. Maybe fortifying magicka would be super useful without being broken, I don't know, I'd have to experiment with it.

Resist disease seems like something that you would have to constantly cast and it isn't always obvious which creatures will give you a disease, seems much easier just to cure it, unless there's a certain creature type which just constantly diseases you I don't really see the benefit.

Spell failure isn't possible with the built in effects, believe me I've tried to emulate both the sound and blindness effects already. The blindness one was even more disappointing as there is a built in blindness effect but it only effects how creatures see you when you're sneaking, it doesn't prevent them from running straight towards you if you attack them.

Thanks for the reply. I completely understand about the feature bloat. It's one of the reasons that compelled me to use this mod. That and it's nice everything is also placed into the leveled lists for a seamless experience.

I have a quite few other harmless suggestions/requests though. How about resist disease and fortify attribute spells? Something like fortify health, magicka and stamina. Also is spell failure still possible in Skyrim? Not that I'd like spell failure back as mages are already seen as underpowered compared to other archetypes but I'd love to see a variation of the sound spell. It would probably require scripting I assume though.

I'm also rather curious as why you choose spell absorption to be a restoration spell. I thought it would be more in line with the alteration spell school given the perks found within the tree.

I'll also upload some screens when I get around to playing again. As of late I spend more time browsing for mods instead of actually using them.

Command Animal and humanoid spells will be a lot easier to implement, aka less scripting required, when dragonborn comes out. I should be able to take effects from the bend will shout and use it to create one or both of these effects. Also when dragonborn comes out, they'll finally be a real waterwalking effect, not a spell just an enchantment, so I'll change the visuals of my spell to match whatever that looks like. More familiar spells would be cool, but I'd rather leave that to another mod, a fair bit of these old spell mods fall into the trap of feature bloat. I want to keep this relatively focused and lore-friendly. Thanks for the input.

edit- also levitation would be awesome but I don't really know how to accomplish that, I'll probably leave that to another mod unless I suddenly get great at scripting.
Also, I'm allowing users to submit images, if you have a good image of a spell in use, feel free to submit it.

Nice little mod you have here. I understand it's named nostalgic spells but if you are still taking requests I would so love to see more familiar type spells like a bear and sabrecat that benefit from the conjuration perks. Command animal and humanoid spells would be cool too.

Anyways thanks for the spells. I've been looking for the weakness variety for ages now.

Thank you very much, and thank you everyone for endorsing. The next version will be a bit delayed, if anyone has any requests, other than the charm fix to make it fortify speech, feel free to comment.

Well, most times you can just quit the conversation (default Tab) and try again. In fact, IIRC even in quests you can still do that.
