    Necro fix! Sorry to those that previously tried downloading this and the scripts weren't included! I had a hard drive crash shortly after I realized I needed to include the scripts (I was used to making mods in Oblivion that didn't require you to include scripts). I found a backup of the files and tested everything out again, it should be working. Make sure to read the description for instructions in where to find the spells and make sure you have the required skill in Alteration to cast them!

    I can't get this mod to work either, but I know what's wrong.

    You forgot to include the scripts with the esp. Unlike Oblivion scripts, they are not in the esp, they are in your "Skyrim/Data/Scripts/" folder.

    Added a new, optional vendor yesterday to the College of Winterhold. I noticed that other Magic mods that edit the leveled Magic list may make it difficult to get the spells to show up on vendors. The new vendor, Rosa Manahands, should contain it's own leveled list that includes the Lockpicking spells on it's own. It still behaves like other spell levels though: if your Alteration skill isn't high enough, then stronger spells like "Expert" level stuff won't show up. This new version is under 1.1b. Thanks.

    why can't i use this spell if i may ask? when i use it i can't open any doors if i dont have any lockpicks it just say; no lokcpicks like normal and if i have it just opens that interface and yes i did have the active in my active effects section

    Well, that would make sense I guess. Sorry for the screw up if thats the case, never had to do that for my Fallout/Oblivion mods. Can't upload them from my location right now, but I'll update hopefully later today and that might work. Thanks for the info, rad666a.

    Hmmm, well, I'm stumped at this point. I haven't been able to get into Skyrim for a few weeks, but I just loaded it back up and it's working fine for me. I don't have any downloadable content, which I don't think should affect it, I'm running SKSE, which also shouldn't be an issue because theres really just basic scripts involved.

    Is there anyone else that the mod is working for? Then again, I wouldn't expect too many people to come back here and post in the discussion if the mod is working as intended for them =P

    I tried what you suggested, but I got some odd results. I disabled SkyRe, started a new game and ran to Riverwood. There I gave myself a ton of Alteration skill(to lev 2 and added the novice and apprentice books. This is what happened:

    v1.1 The same problem others have described, no way to interact with the door / chest while the perk was active.

    v1.0 I got the msgBox popup, but after selecting "open" nothing happened.

    I tried both spells on several doors, not only novice / apprentice lev. I also tried the spells on a chest I had locked from console, but the result was the same.

    I even tried playing with the load order, putting it on top / bottom / in the middle.

    I don't think the SkyRe mod has anything to do with this mod misbehaving, but then again, I don't have the standing stones mod from the SkyRe pack.

    On a sidenote: I liked the long time you put on the cast. It makes me feel like I really have to concentrate to open the lock!

    Hope you get it working - with or without the msgBox.
