Installed the main file and both optional files and everything worked great until I got dragonsmith. First dragon encounter got me CTD at dragons death. After another 9 CTDs and 3 normal dragon deaths I've found the problem with the Dawnguard optional file. Don't know what it is, probably deactivate the other files just in case too.

    1) this mod and the dragonborn expansion may cause you to crash when a dragon is killed
    2) even with the dragonborn patch stalarhim gear is not craftable
    3) may cause save corruption
    good idea poor exacution

I recommend to avoid this mod until it's creator gonna fix all the broken bugs with it. I somewhat screwed up one of my saves already as it cannot be unintalled in clean fashion.

I encountered problems with IA and unique items. Unintalled. Intalled CCO + SPO. Some of the tempering variables carry-on regardless of mod being uninstalled.

And... cannot craft stalhrim items. Quest is completed.

Also carved nordic armor tempering is bugged it seems.

Edit: After using this mod for quite a while.

Mod has a poor finish. Now the concept is great, but poor finish just breas the game balance in some cases.

It seems that author just ignored all the official add-on armors, therefor they get benefit from original perks which are now turned. Some items weren't changed at all and receive double bonuses + bonuses this mod provides, for example stalhrim which needs metallurgy (previously ebony perk) to craft and increase improvement.

Nordic carved armor gets x2 improvement from advanced armors + whatever this mod provides.

A lot of unique items receive similiar treatment. Please update the mod. Also not sure how this all works with immersive armors, as I know a very popular mod.

Just poor finish which sort of makes your mod unusable at some point. And I'm uninstalling currently with a frown on my face :/

As others mentioned before, Loot gives a warning about only using both SmithingTree.esp and SmithingTreeDG.esp together. I know you don't work on this anymore, but it's one of my favorite mods, and i would love to have that warning removed.

By the way, you made some of my all time favorite mods. Esspecially the Speechtree and this one...

Tell LOOT about it. It's an outdated warning from back when this was split into two standalone versions. Tell them about it and have them remove that warning. LOOT isn't scanning the mod or anything, it's just going by a list of stuff. That warning should be removed from its list.

In fact, that warning is so old it was from BOSS.

Quick question, if I have a mod that adds something under orcish, will I need salvage?

I use ars metallica for item meltdown and i need salvage to melt orcish stuff. so i guess the answer you want is no, but the one you get is yes :(

Unless you do a quick edit to that other mod, then yes. It's very simple to edit something like this, though, even if you don't have any real knowledge of modding. You'll just open up the file in the Creation Kit, find that one constructible object (the recipe), and edit one of the conditionals.

First of all I want to thank you for all those awesome mods you made. They are super cool and I really enjoy them.

But I ran into problem with this mod recently when I finally got to play Dragonborn DLC. I encountered really odd bug where game would just close down when dealing killing blow to dragon, but only if it was PC, if it was NPC kill or through "kill" console command dragon would die without problem. Only exception to this rule is final fight with Miraak, when he kill dragon game also crashes. Through process of elimination I found out that it's in fact your Dawnguard compatibility patch for this mod that causes this to happen (I tried game with only this mod installed and it would still crash until Smithing TreeDG.esp was disabled).

So, I would like to ask you if you could look into this and/or tell me what am I doing wrong. Thanks
